~ The Sr. Manager, Digital and New Media is responsible for the development, implementation measurement and on-going management of all digital in-market advertising and retail/dealer website related activities and programs, including Digital Retail Shopping.
~ Management of HMA’s In-market Digital programs (Tier 2/Tier 3).
~ Manage the HMA Digital Marketing Program platform vendor relationship/personnel.
~ Commission/review/approve creative assets (digital banners, website templates, landing pages, etc.).
~ Develop/implement a standard set of performance/conversion metrics.
~ Optimize websites for shopping and conversion.
~ Analyze website traffic and conversion data; provide meaningful insight to Marketing management.
~ Manage Shopping/In-market Digital advertising.
~ Contribute to overall retail digital strategy with the purpose of driving traffic to retail properties.
~ Manage the creation/production of assets deployed in support of retail/shopping digital advertising.
~ Establish objective based measurements to evaluate effectiveness/performance of tactics.
~ Direct the optimization of tactics to ensure digital advertising is effective and efficient.
~ Maintain complete familiarity with overall in-market Advertising Media plan/budget.
~ Ensure that all retail digital advertising is communicated to HMA internal and field staff.
~ Establish and maintain relationships with all endemic and other digital advertising partners/agencies.
~ Manage alignment/integration of messaging across all HMA Shopping properties.
~ Manage the Retail/Shopping Digital budget. Develop annual budget.
~ Maintain thorough understanding of all program budgets and costs.
~ Perform monthly review of program expenses and accruals to ensure budget constraint.
~ Provide monthly spending forecast for inclusion in Advertising Spending Recap submitted to Finance.
~ Quarterly, or as otherwise requested, provide explanation of budget variances to HMA Finance.
~ Develop and manage processes to ensure timely payment to vendors.
~ Collaborate with the Regional Marketing (HDAA) group to align the HMA Dealer Advertising digital Co-op program with overall strategy and program elements.
~ Development/execution/management of HMA Dealer Advertising digital Co-op program strategy, guidelines and processes.
~ Management of new Dealer Retail Programs – such as Digital Retail Solution, Tier-3 Lead Management, etc.
~ Effectively coach, counsel, and develop staff. Utilize the diverse talents of the staff by efficiently managing staff’s time, materials and budget while focusing on the goals and vision of the company.
~ The Senior Manager is expected to work largely independently, manage staff/vendors and exercise decision making within established guidelines.
~ Must be a high school graduate.
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
~ Master’s degree a plus.
~ Eight years of experience of which at least three years of directly related experience in vendor/customer management preferred.
~ Minimum three years of experience managing Retail Marketing programs at Automotive OEM.
~ Five years of supervisory experience desired.
Skill / Knowledge:
~ Ability to manage high-paced environment with multiple projects and agency personnel.
~ Must be detail oriented.
~ Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships at a variety of levels; executive, managerial, field staff, subordinate and agency hierarch of personnel.
~ Ability to take lead of the creative development of a campaign and maintain a macro strategy.
~ Advanced knowledge of MS Excel functions.
~ Working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
~ Working knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
~ Working knowledge of digital marketing and web site practices and technologies.
~ Understanding of automotive retail environment.
~ Understanding of media buying practices and terminology.
~ Normal office duties.
~ Travel as needed.
