This position has the responsibility to provide Quality Assurance leadership for the Medium Voltage products and solutions business (MV Drives and MV Motor Starters) on a global basis. Performance of these duties requires a substantial amount of teaming with all Rockwell Automation Business Units and Shared Services at various levels within the company as well as direct interaction with Customers.

Additional responsibilities include:
Prioritization, scheduling and delegation of work assignments and management of the quality engineering staff's at all business locations to ensure the timely and cost effective completion of all work and projects assigned to the department.
Ensuring the quality of materials purchased, processed, manufactured and distributed by the organization through the assembly facilities and product/manufacturing suppliers' locations, globally.
Ensuring the quality of engineering services / solutions provided globally to the customers.
Planning, establishing, directing and coordinating the local quality assurance procedures required to maintain an ISO 9001 quality management system to meet corporate quality policies.
Assist in development of short and long term quality goals and objectives of the Medium Voltage business unit as a member of the business leadership team.
Plan, define, monitor and improve the quality goals and targets for product and solutions partners worldwide.
Develop strategies to move the quality improvement from reactive to pro-active prediction model. Improve processes via influencing cross functional teams to reach quality improvement goals.
Managing the Customer Quality organization on matters related to customer satisfaction and overall product quality.
Ensure that product/ solution Quality and Reliability needs of the marketplace are properly identified, defined, and implemented in new products.
Develop Reliability programs that improve the design and performance of Rockwell Automation, Allen-Bradley products and services. Activities to begin with new product design and continue reliability growth through the life of the product.
Must make key quality engineering contributions to product design engineering using a DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) process in new product designs (hardware and firmware). Provide leadership in identifying areas for product continual improvement and driving this improvement related to Field Failure Rate data from the solution and customer field application perspective.
Perform and coordinate the root cause failure analysis related to customer product quality issues and effectively communicate resolution to RA Field personnel, customers, internal stakeholders, and other resources as appropriate.
Work in close collaboration with other product quality teams across the company.
All activities and decision making must meet the quality requirements communicated by the company policies and procedures, customer expectations and requirements, and appropriate governmental agencies, such as ISO regulations.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering. Equivalent experience of at least 10 years in the low/medium voltage industry will be considered.
Strong background in the quality disciplines, including statistics.
8 or more years in quality engineering, engineering or manufacturing.
Knowledge on Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) distribution system, LV/MV Drive products, and solutions.
8 or more year additional experience in manufacturing engineering, field commissioning engineering, application engineering, configuration and quotation engineering and/or product design and development in LV/MV power distribution systems is an asset.
Must have a minimum of 5 year experience in direct interaction with customers.
- Must be able to use a variety of quality engineering analytical tools such as Lean Six Sigma and problem solving techniques such as 8 Disciplines (8D) to assure the early identification and preventive solution of potential problems with current and new products, solutions, applications, and reliability.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
