As a Test Engineer for Rockwell Automation, you will be responsible for leading test planning, test case generation, test execution and anomaly reporting. You will be responsible for debugging code and working with developers to ensure the issue is understood. You will be a key player in ensuring that developed products meet requirements and are within total quality management standards.

Participates in the review of Development Engineering specifications such as architecture, requirements, analysis, design, and human interface design specifications to provide technical review feedback and to gain an understanding of the product to be tested.
Responsible for testing components of the product against the specification(s) and provide feedback on the product quality. Some testing techniques may require developing of test cases, test procedures, test software and test tools using sound engineering practices and adhering to team standards.
May also require reviewing of unit and integration testing with the software developer(s).
Establishes a timeline for assigned tasks and is able to provide a progress report to the team leader, as needed.
Responsible for establishing the adequate amount of interaction with the team leader to ensure that assigned tasks are prioritized appropriately.
Responsible for understanding and consistently applying knowledge of current departmental policies, procedures and standards, pertaining both to technical and administrative issues.
May provide recommendations or updates to be applied to policies, procedure or standards with the purpose of improving department productivity and customer satisfaction.
Identifies, researches, analyzes and implements quality and process improvement ideas that may affect multiple functional areas.
Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
Is aware of productivity, quality and efficiency issues affecting products and departmental processes.
Actively seeks knowledge regarding new developments in the software engineering field, company interests and products through a variety of sources (i.e. contacts with educational institutions, professional societies, peers in other company divisions, technical papers, periodicals, and industry trade shows).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
A concentration in software or equivalent knowledge in the areas of software engineering (software requirements analysis, software design, software testing) is desired
Experience programming in C++, C#, Java, or Python
Basic knowledge and understanding of workstation software, embedded systems, networking, and general PC troubleshooting
