This position has the responsibility to support ICB business and production facilities to sustain and improve product quality of existing / next generation products. This position will provide global quality assurance of pushbutton product for reliability test and failure analysis for global ICB business to reduce warranty cost.
The scope of support is in a global base where the production facilities, regional business and the customers are located.
Assistant Reliability Engineer to perform engineering evaluation and failure analysis of customer returns to determine cause of return and effectively communicate analysis to RA field personnel and customers,
Work with engineers for ICB warranty return analysis to reduce warranty cost .
Test engineering prototypes and other non-standard devices to determine the effects of design process changes and to determine electrical life,
Perform electrical and mechanical life testing of Rockwell Automation and competitive products, including mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic devices.
Design and build product test systems using programmable controllers.
Perform qualification tests for push button products and other products
Design test platform and fixtures as required.
Write SOP for test standard
Communicate test requestor to update test status.
Manage and Maintain test lab per ISO 17025 requirement.
Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state regulations, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, etc) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
Comply with local EHS laws and regulations, RA policy and rules. Ensure workplace no EHS accident/incident.
Job related competencies
Assistant Reliability Engineer to perform detailed failure and root cause analysis of customer returned products by responding with urgency to customer quality concerns, these products included circuit breaker, LED module, contactor, overload relay, circuit breaker, contactor, overload relay, and soft starter.
Conduct mechanical and electrical endurance tests and special engineering investigations in accordance with standards set by Rockwell Automation or its customers.
Assistant Reliability Engineer to initiate internal corrective action for test anomalies as determined by appropriate procedures.
Design and build test fixtures and test circuits using programmable controllers. Maintain existing test fixtures and circuits. Operate test equipment necessary to perform or monitor tests, such as power supplies, scopes, meters, etc.
Identify opportunities and implement changes to modernize and improve test systems and processes.
Co-write customer RCFAs
- 2 Year Technical Degree or 10 years of relevant experience required.
- At least one year of electrical test experience, with some mechanical test experience preferred.
- Experienced in reliability Lab management.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job.
