This high visibility position is that of a generalist with broad knowledge in the field of real estate transactions, facilities management and proven project management skills as well as the ability and business acumen to assemble and lead a team of internal and outside specialists to resolve complex issues and implement timely, cost-effective real estate/facilities/ business solutions.
Responsible for properties owned by the corporation, this person represents the company's broad interests in real estate matters ranging from acquisitions, leasing, subleasing, property management and disposals. This position is transaction oriented, with the goal of protecting the corporation's bottom line while implementing the business's strategy of positioning and operating corporate assets. This person is responsible for maximizing building space and operating efficiency including searching for new space to lease for operations.
Responsible for executing projects and implementing real estate/facilities strategies regarding a diverse, leased portfolio throughout the Northern AP region, while minimizing financial exposure and maximizing returns.
- Degree in real estate and property management, construction or related discipline.
- A financial background or an MBA is a plus
A minimum of 8 years of working experience in the field of real estate and construction is preferred which may include architectural and engineering facilities design, construction contracting and management, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, project management, and overall facility support services. Site analysis and selection, incentive negotiations, zoning, purchase and sales negotiations, design-build contractor selection, construction cost estimating, project cost justification, cost control, and professional services provider selection are critical components of this position.
Comparative analysis skills as well as a keen understanding of the environmental, legal, and financial issues that may impact real estate and facilities contracts.
Excellent communications skills; oral and written.
Good interpersonal skills, judgment, tact, persuasion, as well as the ability to analyze and evaluate alternatives during presentations and/or negotiations.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and initiate the appropriate actions for a successful implementation of a project.
Well developed software skills in Word, Excel, Power point, Lotus Notes. Familiarity with AutoCAD and relational databases.
Willingness to travel 20% to 30% of the time.
Relevant Multi-lingual capabilities are beneficial.
