This position has the responsibility to support Quality Assurance leadership for the Low Voltage Drive (LVD) on a global basis. Performance of these duties requires a substantial amount of flexibility to work in a matrix structure of a global base as well as direct interaction with the customers.
Ensuring the quality of the product design, manufacturing, engineering services / solutions provided globally to the customers.
Control the quality of materials purchased, processed, manufactured and distributed by the organization through the assembly facilities and product/manufacturing suppliers' locations, globally.
Enforce and support to the local quality assurance procedures required to maintain an ISO 9001 quality management system to meet corporate quality policies.
Assist in development of short and long term quality goals and objectives globally.
Plan, define, monitor and improve the quality goals and targets for product and solutions.
Act with a sense of urgency to resolve any quality issue, identify and implement the corrective/preventive actions in a timely manner.
Ensure that product/ solution Quality and Reliability needs of the marketplace are properly identified, defined, and implemented in new products.
Play an approver responsibility on the quality and reliability of the new product design projects.
Support and enhance the reliability programs that improve the design and performance of Rockwell Automation, Allen-Bradley products and services. Activities to begin with new product design and continue reliability growth through the life of the product.
Must make key quality engineering contributions to product design engineering using a DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) process in new product designs.
Perform and coordinate the root cause failure analysis related to customer product quality issues and effectively communicate resolution to RA Field personnel, customers, internal stakeholders, and other resources as appropriate. Identify the quality improvement actions at systemic level and lead or facilitate the execution of the actions.
Work in close collaboration with other product quality teams across the company.
All activities must meet the quality requirements communicated by the company policies and procedures, customer expectations and requirements, and appropriate governmental agencies, such as ISO regulations.
Support the communication of LVD quality metrics and improvement actions, collaborating with the cross-functional global organization.
Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
At least 5 years in quality engineering, engineering, manufacturing, field service engineering and/or repair engineering.
3 or more years in quality engineering, design engineering or manufacturing.
Knowledge on Low Voltage (LV) drives and distribution system, LV Switchgears products, and/or solutions.
3 or more year additional experience in manufacturing engineering, field commissioning engineering, application engineering, configuration and quotation engineering and/or product design and development in LV power distribution systems is an asset.
Must have a minimum of 3 year experience in direct interaction with customers and suppliers.
Must be able to use a variety of quality engineering analytical tools such as Lean Six Sigma and problem solving techniques such as 8 Disciplines (8D) to assure the early identification and preventive solution of potential problems with current and new products, solutions, applications, and reliability.
Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications especially Excel tools
Strong background in the quality disciplines,
Strong background in data analytical skills, experience on customer data analysis.
Strong collaboration skills.
Ability to influence and work with cross-functional and global teams within a complex matrix organization.
Previous experience in customer service management including field service engineering
Desired certification in LEAN, Six SIGMA Green Belt / Black Belt, CQM, AQE.
