SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION
Under general supervision, the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Coordinator will support the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Manager in developing and maintaining a proactive, strategic, world-class safety, environmental and security process. Assist in the development and implementation of programs and procedures to effectuate environmental, health, safety and security (EHSS) policies.
Serve as primary point of contact for all EHSS related questions to hourly population.
Develop and deliver EHSS strategies and programs to assist Rockwell Automation on its journey to a world class EHSS company.
In conjunction with the EHSS Mgr, manage all elements of worker's compensation; administration of claims, interface with medical providers, third party case managers, workers compensation attorney's, and impacted employee.
Oversee and maintain all and maintained OSHA, workers compensation, first aid and medical records.
Develop, update, and present authorized and qualified level training courses to comply with facility EHSS programs, federal laws and corporate policies.
Train all employees in all required areas of safety, environmental, health, and security as outlined in the training matrix.
Oversee all aspects of the behavioral based safety process including leading applicable kaizans.
Work directly with supervisors, team leaders, and safety committee to assure timely reporting of all injuries.
Participate in incident and near miss investigations and root cause analysis and insure that plant-wide corrective actions are implemented & understood.
Coordinate interpretation of department safety metrics and insure utilization of the data.
Oversee environmental, safety and ergonomic management of change (MOC) reviews of new, changed workstations and processes.
Communicate findings from MOC analysis, assign responsibility for continuous improvement/corrective actions and follow up on and close out completed corrective actions.
In conjunction with the environmental, health, safety and security manager, act as lead auditor for all EHSS facility audits.
Participate in managing plant safety, environmental and security committees to assure efficiency of committee activities.
Participate in the disposal and management of hazardous and controlled waste disposal and record keeping.
In conjunction with the environmental, health, safety and security supervisor, ensure environmental management system requirements are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.
Maintain the environmental, safety and security closed loop preventative and corrective action documentation system (PAC) and assure timely closure of all corrective actions.
Act as alternate environmental, safety security management representative in the absence of the EHSS Manager.
Be a leader in the development and maintenance of the RC wellness program.
Oversee workstation ergonomic/ job hazard analysis process.
Participate in workstation re-design and implementation to assure workstation safety.
Oversee the contractor safety process.
Perform industrial hygiene sampling and analysis as required
Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelors Degree.
- 2+ years of leading safety initiatives.
- Must have experience working with OSHA standards.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job opening.

- Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
- Participation in ISO audits.
