Supply Chain Planner III
You will plan the supply of all major raw materials for the Polyamide Precursors Plants in Freeport. The total volume of consumed raw materials is about 1000kt/a. The duties include scheduling shipments in collaboration with the suppliers, managing the terminals where raw materials are off-loaded, planning for turnarounds, and moving material to external storage facilities. You will maintain all relevant master data in the ERP system (SAP R/3) and contribute to the Month-end closing process of the Polyamide Precursors Plants.
Formula for Success: You Will
Raw Materials Detailed Planning: Develop and maintain the daily supply plans for Intermediates Plants by using information on production rates, inventories, tank levels, and availability of supply. This is done in close collaboration with the Intermediates Production Planner, Production, and our Suppliers.
Raw Material Movement Planning: Plan material movements from our Suppliers to site tanks or to external storage facilities. The movement plan has to consider limitations with regard to dock scheduling, vessel availability, storage space in tanks, etc.
Raw Materials Rough-Cut Planning: The long-term rough-cut supply plan is developed in collaboration with the Intermediates planner. The goal of the rough cut plan is to minimize inventories while ensuring sufficient supply of raw materials. The rough cut plan is the basis for detailed planning as well as the demand forecast for our suppliers.
Turnaround Planning: In collaboration with the Intermediates Planner, Site Logistics, and the Suppliers, develop supply plans for TARs of our Suppliers or our own Plants. The goal is to meet the production plan, which may require inventory build-up (aligned with the rough-cut plan).
Maintaining Planning Systems: All supply plans are maintained in the SAP R/3 and OMP+ systems. Ensure that the information in these systems is correct and that the plans are maintained within the planning horizon. To achieve this, the develop planning strategies and maintains the master data accordingly. The goal is that the planning systems have accurate data and an achievable plan that meets production and inventory targets.
Month-end Closing: Owner of the month-end closing process for the major raw materials. Coordinate the efforts of the month-end closing teams of the individual plants, Corporate Purchasing, and Accounting with regard to raw materials consumption.
Back-up for Intermediates Planner: Serve as the back-up for the Intermediates Planner (and vice versa). Thus, perform routine Intermediates Planning tasks when the Intermediates Planner is not available.
NOTE: Not all positions are eligible for cross-regional relocation/work authorization. Cross regional is defined as movement between countries (e.g. Canada to U.S.).
