We are seeking an Associate Chemist, Industrial and Institutional Cleaning, North America to join our team.
The BASF division of Care Chemicals offers a broad range of ingredients for hygiene, personal care, home care, industrial & institutional cleaning, and technical applications. We are the leading supplier for the cosmetics industry as well as the detergents and cleaning agents industry and support our customers worldwide with innovative and sustainable products, solutions, and concepts. The division's high-performance product portfolio includes surfactants, emulsifiers, polymers, emollients, chelating agents, cosmetic active ingredients, pigments, and UV filters. Superabsorbents developed for the full spectrum of hygiene applications complete the range. We have production and development sites in all regions and are expanding our presence in emerging markets.

Associate Chemist (1700560)
As an Associate Chemist, you will provide development support for the Industrial and Institutional market in North America. You will work with our comprehensive Care Chemicals portfolio to develop a variety of cleaning product formulations, execute/improve performance test methods, and collect essential applications data. You will perform technical service and applications research in support of sales and marketing efforts. and be available to travel up to 5% of the time to visit customers. Strong chemical knowledge and the ability to work independently is a must. Experience with formulation of specially of cleaning products is desired.
Formula for Success: You Will
Formulate and evaluate performance of products used in Industrial and Institutional cleaning and designing and improving on test methods.
Routinely analyze experimental data using statistical tools (e.g. JMP and Excel) and concisely report conclusions in both oral and written form.
Effectively work on multiple projects at once and provide reliable results in a complex environment.
Ensure that all technical project objectives with key customers are met in conformance with customer needs and expectations and also in a timely and cost-effective manner.
