Responsibility for developing, deploying and managing a portfolio of safety service offerings that differentiate Rockwell Automation's Connected Services Business. This role will be responsible for the continued development of the safety services commercial strategy, financial performance, service development, competency development and sales support. This individual will interface with regional operations managers to ensure consistent and effective delivery processes are implemented around the world. There will be focus on driving continuous improvement, consistency and productivity throughout the business. This individual will be a key member of the Connected Services management team and interface cross functionally as a representative of the business. This role has global responsibility and visibility.
Lead the Current and Future Program definition of safety service offerings including but not limited all areas of the safety lifecycle.
Coordination, Collaborate with Safety operations and delivery to insure alignment of multi-year services roadmap and partner delivery roadmap
Build out the detailed model of governance, economic/financial returns, competency / certification, onboarding, reusable asset library (tools, templates and procedures for both proposals and deliverables), and success and control metrics
Product Line marketing including presentation and development of concepts, value propositions, design and development methodology to key internal and partner key stakeholders and executives.
Collaborate with multiple services and technology Business Unit Product managers, to ensure roadmap of product/services/initiatives are widely understood, supported and aligned with the broad company strategic and product roadmaps.
Responsible for analyzing target markets, customer requirements and competitive trends to develop a compelling, executable and profitable product roadmap.
Responsible for identifying gaps between the desired roadmap and the realizable roadmap and generate options for bridging the gap (partnerships, acquisitions, 3rd parties etc.)
Advocate the voice of the customer in the product development process.
Interface with Product development team and provide input on detailed requirements during development (Feature and Product attributes).
Marketing/PR support for product line and associated technologies at events i.e. tradeshows, financial analyst and press interviews.
Collaboratively track and drive year over year growth around product lines under direct control
Own product line definition including, but not limited to Market Problems, Win/Loss Analysis, articulate Distinctive Competence, analyze the competitive Landscape, Define target markets, Define User and buyer Personas.
Collaborate with Commercial Marketing, Business Development and Sales Manage to develop Marketing Plan, Launch Plan and Go to marked plan, internal and external offering competency and programs.
Accurately Size Market to build long term sales predictions
Minimum of 3+ years in sales, marketing, channel management or related field in the area of Industrial Automation.
Bachelor's degree in technical field other degrees with relevant business/product management professional experience will be considered.
Subject matter expertise in machine safety, arch flash and lock out/tag out
Ability to successfully lead across organizational boundaries, including strong relationship management skills.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to lead diverse and cross functional groups, including outside vendors.
Strong team orientation, both internal and external, with the ability to coach and mentor regardless of reporting relationships.
Strong business acumen with emphasis on financial analysis, root cause investigation and development of solutions/action plans to minimize risks and take advantage of opportunities.
Demonstrated creativity and effectiveness in marketing programs including but not limited to promotions, marketing communications, point of sale, etc.
Ability to analyze issues, develop and deploy solutions within a dynamic environment.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including speaking in front of small and large groups
Strong time and project schedule management skills required to consistently meet deadlines
Safety Services industry specific knowledge including current feature/functionality and technology trends
