*The preferred location for this position is York, PA but Sterling Heights, MI will be considered.
To provide overall Program Finance leadership and guidance for the York CAS segment within the Combat Vehicles Business Area of the Platforms & Services Sector. Program Finance Director must be able to successfully lead a team of Finance Managers and provide strategic direction and business support to Combat Vehicles Finance Director, VP of Programs, and functional leadership as required to ensure all program financial commitments are achieved.
Advises senior management of all program financial matters and has proven ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely across a broad audience. Participates in program decisions that affect the financial posture of the organization and serves as consultant to top management in long-range program planning.
Manages, directs and integrates the execution of program finance & EVMS to include adherence to EVMS System Description, accounting procedures, salient forecasting, etc. Works closely with Financial Process/Tools/Training function to ensure unit cohesion / compliance.
Establishes and ensures Program Finance resource levels are appropriate to support Combat Vehicles Growth Plan; is responsible for assigning tasks, counseling, training, developing and evaluating a team of Finance Managers and program finance analysts. Has authority to make decisions and take action regarding personnel matters.
Works closely with CV Leadership, and all elements of CV Finance (Finance Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting & Operations Finance) to ensure a comprehensive understanding of business strategy and execution.
Oversees financial aspect of business cases to support new business and key investments. Ensures Project Finance ownership of proposal business cases. Reaches across all responsible functions to gather inputs and provide sound program financial advice to leadership. Complex problem solver and Full Business Partner with Program and Functional VP’s / Directors.
Ensures timely and effective support to contract closeouts and all actions to obtain/maintain approved DFARS Business Systems.
Key Job Requirements:
Position will be responsible for maintaining and developing 5+ Program Finance Managers and their staffs; ensuring they are properly prepared to successfully handle both the current business environment as well as the significant growth in the business/staffing needs over the next 5 years (CV is expected to double in size from $1B to $2B over the IBP).
Must be able to conceptually understand the impact / needs of a business which will experience double digit sales growth over the next five years and be able to anticipate the program finance needs and staffing levels. Must be decisive and able to anticipate new complexities along with the efficiences that will need to be created address the future needs of the business.
