Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a Technical Application Laboratory Chemist, Printing, Packaging and Adhesives to join our team. This position is part of the Application Laboratory team under the Technical Team Leader.
Technical Application Laboratory Chemist Printing, Packaging and Adhesives (1701071)
You will complete hands-on application work on technical service projects for existing products and new products entering the commercialization phase to support growth with our customers in Printing, Packaging, & Adhesives. In addition, you will coordinate lab work with Application Laboratory
Technicians, take general direction/collaboration with Technical Specialists, and be responsible for equipment, SOP/JSA, and writing reports.
Formula for Success: You Will
Independently conduct technical comparisons of BASF products vs. competitive products in industry-specific application tests.
Proactively determine value propositions and will provide others with analysis/recommendations/path forward.
Complete technical application tests of products for troubleshooting to derive product recommendations and/or formulation recommendations by using multiple product lines of the portfolio and for support of growth opportunities and recommendation of next steps.
Work independently on assignments and defines resources and timelines. The candidate will be a technical resource to others and will support multiple product lines.
Design and implement projects and testing protocols, as well as identify linkages between technical solutions and business strategy.
Provide complaint management (production and/or customer): Perform technical testing and assessment of individual products via application testing and other analysis, providing others with respective results/analyses and recommendation of next steps.
Organize R&D application testing, results, data of new product evaluation, formulation support and recommendation of next steps especially for products entering commercialization phase.
Ensure and work in compliance with EH&S and ISO standards [minimum expectation].
