Business Development Executive

Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with assigned worldwide accounts. Identifies opportunities for account growth while offering customers a full array of value added services. Monitors competitor actions in each account to ensure that appropriate responses are formulated and communicated. Provides input into the overall account strategy in conjunction with the Worldwide Sales director and is responsible for the execution of that strategy at the local level.

The Specialty Worldwide Account Manager leads Sales efforts for an assigned and prospective group of target customers to increase market share, meet company sales expectations, achieve margin and profit goals, work with all team members to improve existing services and sell Additive Manufacturing and Technology Repair Services capabilities. The business development position is a direct selling position and is responsible for all aspects of the lead generation and sales process.  Remote work will be considered, however, overnight travel is required.

This Position Will Be Responsible For:

• Prospecting and lead generation within assigned group of target and prospective customers
• Developing the sales and marketing strategy for the deployment of Additive Manufacturing and Technology Repair Services to customer opportunities in a geographic area
• Lead the qualification process of new customers through direct customer solicitation. Responsibility includes qualification services, the identification of target opportunities, and the management of the process for qualifying opportunities. Newly qualified customers are accessed, opportunities are assigned to regional sales managers and data from first contact is assessed and reported on.
• Directly assist all team members with customer opportunities. This includes attending sales calls to further define the opportunity and develop the value-proposition for account closure.
• Manage the proposal and presentation process for market support.
• Provide weekly reporting on all customers for new business development. Identify the work to be provided by the FedEx team to insure proposals, sales strategy and proposal presentations are generated professionally and provide an excellent opportunity for account award.
• Directly lead the sales effort for Additive Manufacturing and Technology Repair Services. This would be an evaluation of customer interest, presentation of services, development of the proposal for services and final presentation.
• Manage the pricing on all account opportunities to insure profitability is built into each award of business
• Provide the leadership for sales to the FedEx organization. This is provided by continuously energizing the effort for moving new potential customers through the sales cycle in a professional, passionate, and engaging manner.
• Continuously work with all Additive Manufacturing and Repair Services team members to further improve their sales skills and the ability to provide professional contact with all new, existing and potential customers.
• Heavy overnight travel required.

Skills/Knowledge Considered a Plus:

• Successful experience selling reverse logistics, Additive Manufacturing and Technology Repair Services to existing and prospective customers
• Proven ability within logistics, operations, customer service, and project management
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective customer and teammate relationships
• Strategic planning and sales management skills
• Effective leadership, team building, mentoring, oral/written communication skills and the ability to deal with teammates in various work locations
• Initiative, innovation and strong work standards
• Strong communication skills to include oral, written and listening. These communication skills also require the ability to ask appropriate questions, overcome objections and lead the customer to value-added solutions offered by FedEx.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent. Five (5) years directly related commercial or industrial sales experience. Demonstrated ability to achieve account sales goals and to plan and execute major customer sales strategies. Strong human relations, communication and negotiation skills. Heavy overnight travel required.
