EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates Degree (AA/AS) in Mechanical or Electrical field of study preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.

Previous work experience with Automated conveyor systems and controls, repair of material handling equipment, predictive/preventive maintenance tools and procedures, metal/wood fabrication.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, long periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Previous work experience with blueprints and schematics; electrical and electronic principles. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System and robotic operation/maintenance preferred.

Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety Standards preferred.
