Overview The Senior Software Engineer would join the Architecture and Integration Team in supporting Property Management(PM), Global Investment Administration(GIA), Property Management Accounting (PMA) lines of businesses and corresponding products. He or she will serve in a senior developer role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in learning new technologies and have experience in Prototype building. He or she will need to create and manage methodologies, templates, and processes that serve to various products. The successful candidate will perform regular architectural review of the products and recommend backlog items. He or she will need to leverage and enforce standards for data naming conventions to ensure consistency and reuse of data integrations and models.

Reporting Relationships The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Senior Manager or Director in D&T working with CBRE Global Investment Administration.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Manage Yardi environments for property mgmt and investment mgmt on a global scale
  • Manage Yardi modules and databases on a global scale
  • Develop Yardi reporting capabilities with technologies in areas of data quality, data manipulation, data de deduplication and KPI dashboard reporting
  • Develop and support data integrations (SSIS, Micro-services, Apache Kafka, GoLang and Python)
  • Manage/Support Data Quality initiatives using Tableau and SQL
  • Perform periodic review of products for Agile design and Architectural alignment
  • Assess and report impact of change requests with respect to data to product teams during requirement analysis phase
  • Participate in product scrum meetings to capture reporting design and specification needs
  • Create documentation of data flows and data dependencies
  • Establish best practice standards mixed with CBRE standards for databases, process, tools, and methodologies
  • Advise product teams to solve architecture/ technical problems that a product has encountered


The Candidate
Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area, or related experience

Professional Qualifications
  • Typically has 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Consideration given to equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in the information technology in various sized organizations in various data / architecture related roles.
  • 5+ years of technical experience with Yardi databases and backend architecture
  • 5+ years of functional experience with Yardi PM and IM modules
  • Expert level usage of SQL
  • Yardi Voyager report writing experience including scripting and YSR
  • Understanding of real estate industry and accounting terms and concepts
  • Experience in performance tuning of queries and data migration
  • Experience with agile software product design principles preferred
  • Must possess strong organizational, facilitation and critical thinking abilities
