Attachment Description:

This position reports to an engineering manager as part of Embedded Software Development Team. During the attachment, the person will gain experience on

• Our latest and greatest technologies in our next generation product line of PLC controllers
• Understanding embedded software product requirements and thereafter, design and implement Embedded Software code to meet those requirements
• Engineering Best practices to deliver Embedded Software code in a Continuous Integration environment
• Being part of an agile team operating in Scaled Agile Framework
• Collaborate and partner with Rockwell experts across the globe and use the best engineering practices / processes in embedded software development

Specific Responsibilities:

• Understand product requirements, design, and implement features according to the requirements, based on Rockwell guidelines
• Investigate issues reported against the product, identify root cause and implement solution
• Report progress on feature work or issues resolution to the team lead and manager, escalate issues on time whenever necessary

Technical Skills and Competencies:

• Introduction to industrial automation and Rockwell products including studio 5000, RSLinkx, ControlFlash, Logix controllers, IO and HMI
• Development environment and processes such as ESW development environment: in house tools, gitlab, process tools: JIRA and development process
• Debugging and failure analysis
• Implementation of features with existing detail design
• Design and Implementation of features without detail design
