Seeds QA/QC Manager (2002852) - Research Triangle Park, NC

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are looking for a Seeds QA/QC Manager who will implement quality activities including planning of processes, systems, training, measurement, analytical methods, testing requirements and sampling strategies to secure launch of Hybrid Wheat for our Agricultural Solutions business.

Quality Assurance : Responsible for lab capacity, methods, processes, tools and activities necessary to meet process and material quality standards in NA Seed Supply operations.

• Implement quality activities including planning of processes, systems, training, measurement, analytical methods, testing requirements and sampling strategies to secure launch of Hybrid Wheat

• Contribute to assess lab performance

• Ensure lab capability and seasonal capacity are available to support timely usage decisions, both internally and for approved third-party labs

• Coordinate the completion and recording of quality related improvement actions to ensure adequate measures are taken to prevent recurrence.

• Generate data to make proper usage decisions and enable Supply Chain high responsiveness, report on performance and compliance.

• Create and revise documents to ensure compliance with BASF, local, and government requirements.

• Support Quality improvement projects
  

Quality Control : Responsible for measurement and analysis to ensure product quality standards are met and QC methods are effective

• Coordinate flow of samples, data with approved third-party labs

• Ensure test results are received in a timely manner through communication with in-house and third-party laboratories or official certification agencies.

• Review QC data to ensure it is complete and accurate to make adequate usage decisions.

• Ensure QC data are uploaded to the BASF QM system and are communicated timely to the Supply Chain group.

• Management and maintenance of all retention samples stored at sites and tollers.
  

Formula for Success

• BA or BS preferred and 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance and/or Quality Management Leadership Position is required and 4+ years' experience in ISO 9001, Business Excellence and/or Operational Excellence Experience

• Agriculture or Seeds industry experience preferred

• Seed quality experience a plus

• Analytical mindset, methodical, logical and detail oriented

• Effective communicator both verbal and written

• Strong mathematical and numeric skills

• Flexible and able to reduce complexity
