Rockwell Automation is looking for a 1st Shift Manufacturing Supervisor within our Remanufacturing Operations within our Mequon, WI facility. Directs the development and implementation of remanufacturing/production goals in safety, quality, customer delivery, and financial improvement. Develops capacity plans and output forecasts based upon complex customer demand trends and variable labor content per remanufacturing operations. Develops and executes resource planning in a high product mix, highly flexible and customized process related to remanufacturing/repair related processes/operations. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the remanufacturing team. Plans and administers operating policies, procedures, and practices that foster employee engagement in a continuous improvement driven work environment, specifically focus within Remanufacturing Operations. Essential Functions Direct supervision of 45 to 60 employees on 1 st Shift, along with giving direction to 2 nd Shift remanufacturing personnel. Maintain and enforce safe work practices. Select and hire employees and provide on-going performance monitoring. Establish and implement employee training and development programs and schedules. Execute company policies and procedures with respect to disciplinary policies. Perform resource planning requirements and scheduling of work hours and time off requests. Communicate production/repair order status, remanufacturing daily priorities and results at frequent intervals. Accountable for safety, quality, customer delivery, and productivity improvement objectives. Lead continuous improvement projects, i.e. Kaizen events, A3 Projects. Understand and maintain complex manufacturing/remanufacturing order management systems related to material movement. Leadership Facilitate remanufacturing teams toward the achievement of business and customer objectives. Coach and train teams in the philosophy of continuous improvement and waste reduction concepts. Foster an environment that instills pride and ownership by all employees.. Provide leadership in the support of best practices and compliance to procedures and specifications. Interpersonal Drive engagement and teamwork through clear communication of objectives. Foster collaborative effort in problem solving that promotes engagement and ownership by all. Maintain and enhance an environment of open and honest communication. Maintain and enhance a culture of mutual respect and integrity at all levels of the organization. Business Calculate labor efficiency, utilization, and productivity. Analyze repair labor times for variance and overall reduction opportunities. Analyze daily backlogs and calculate required capacity to manage order lead times. Develop resource plans based upon individual work cell order demand rates. Understand operating budgetary controls. Utilize problem solving tools as part of Lean Six Sigma based continuous improvement philosophy . #LI-GK1 |
