Welcome to the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), home to a passionate community of global educators who believe in the power of technology to transform teaching and learning, accelerate innovation and solve tough problems in education.  ISTE is seeking a Senior Project Manager, who will be responsible for managing tasks and work streams associated with a  key project focused on improving data maturity and procurement processes in states and districts. This person will also contribute to and be part of a broader team devoted to growing ISTE’s impact and engagement with external partners through meaningful relationships and collaborative projects. Daily tasks include partnership management and communication, contracts and invoicing, project tracking, analytics, reporting, event planning, coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders, and overall working to ensure smooth project implementation. While the position is heavily project focused, this position will also have many opportunities for growth and positioning within other projects and programs across the organization as well.

Position-Specific Duties

• Ensure that aspects of project implementation go smoothly
• Create project tracking dashboards and reporting documents for both internal and external tracking and communication
• Coordinate and communicate with project partners and stakeholders
• Manage and track project budgets, provide regular project financial reports, and follow internal financial processes. Manage, process, and track project invoices, contracts, and expense reimbursements
• Make recommendations and deploy processes for improving project efficiencies against project metrics and milestones
• Organize and participate in project related meetings, events, and presentations including agenda planning, vendor acquisition, event setup, and participant outreach. Represent ISTE at select conferences and meetings, including presentations and/or workshops.
• Facilitate and manage communication between ISTE staff, key project personnel, external liaisons, project participants, vendors and suppliers.
• Manage and collaborate with external partners and subject matter experts contributing to projects, to ensure timely delivery and quality of work.
• Work with internal teams such as marketing, fiscal, product, membership and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the organization
• Work collaboratively and communicate transparently with colleagues across departments to ensure projects progress in a timely manner; be able to sequence tasks and move multiple tasks forward in parallel.
