What you’ll be doing...

This is a security engineering position responsible for architecting the overall device security solution for Network as a Service (NaaS), a Verizon product for customers. These components include the SIM (UICC), applications and devices.

You’re a technical expert with solid credentials and a remarkable ability to deploy new technologies and troubleshoot problems. You work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and you’re great at partnering with the groups you support.

• Defining the security design and architecture for device and network components impacted by this product.
• Leading the establishments of security requirements, thread assessments and lead any necessary testing activities.
• Working hand in hand with other Subject Matter Experts as well as with other Verizon Security Teams.
• Collaborating with cross functional teams and excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Looking for ways to make a great network design better, and you’re a natural mentor to junior engineers looking to develop their technical skills.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in driving the technology approaches, standards, and development roadmaps.
• Experience with security Service Delivery and Solution Architecture.
• Experience with network security policies in an OpenStack-based environment, Security-related experience with Device Platform security, SIM applications, and authentication and authorization protocols.
• Knowledge of device software platforms (Android, iOS, Windows.)
• Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with cross-functional teams and ability to reach consensus.
• Ability to learn new / other technologies quickly and use them.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in writing technical requirements.
• Experience in writing test plans / procedures.
• Experience in software development in C, C++ and Java.
• Experience in testing and debugging handsets (devices).
