JOB SUMMARY This is not a remote role. The purpose of this position is to provide support to project management operations, administration and management for projects from inception through completion. Audits, solicits and provides reporting on Project Management key performance indicators. Prepares standard project status reports for project delivery team or work group, client and management. Reports typically includes: status update, budget, schedule and risk, Business/Capital Plan and Special Projects lists/status. Creates and maintains project policies and directives within the project operations manual. Function as systems administrators of internet-based project tracking system, project websites and job cost accounting system. Enters project information data (i.e. project status updates, schedule updates, cash flow forecasts, invoicing) and project documentation into project management technology tools (software applications, web-based tools, job cost accounting tools). Respond to internal and external customer inquiries concerning performance reports and project tracking system data. Maintains active Capital and Special Project tracking documents for project team. Assist project management executives in the implementation of and monitoring the adherence to project administrative practices and policies. Provide internal and external customer training on PM application. Submits and tracks Capital Appropriation/Purchase Order requests for project team. Assist project team in project close-out procedures. Serve as project team liaison to I/T Coordinator on tracking desktop hardware and software issues. Train new administrative assistants and temporary employees on project policies and administration. Prepare routine and special client reports as required. Assists with project administration deliverables in support of projects team (i.e. Region PD meeting scheduling, meeting minutes compilation; budget and schedule tracking; schedule updates; project closeout, and general PD Team support). Other duties may be assigned. No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from College or University in a technical area of study. Minimum of 2 years project-administrative, database management and/or performance reporting experience or any similar combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES None. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis. REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Intermediate skills with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
