The Role: Chief Financial Officer.  The City: Cleveland.  The Agency: Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD). The Mandate: To provide leadership, direction, and management of all agency finances and business operations, including accounting, purchasing, budgeting and IT while driving the process for strategic innovation in creating, analyzing and launching strategic initiatives across all departments.

To this end, building and maintaining positive and effective relationships with one another, the individuals and families we support, and our vast array of community partners is paramount. It takes all of us, each employee in his/her role, working together to help people with developmental disabilities have meaningful lives and participate as full members of the community.

Our Task:  We have started our search for a new CFO and our goal is interview the most talented people in this field who are interested in helping us achieve our mission while remaining fiscally responsible.  Our new CFO will provide budget alignment and comprehensive strategic planning and direction in the development and implementation of innovative and strategic performance systems including Cuyahoga DD’s strategic and financial plans within all departments by innovation.

But there’s so much more to do.  That’s where you come in. The CFO will collaborate internally and externally to identify opportunities derived from Cuyahoga DD’s strategic plan to improve the lives of people living with disabilities and their families in Cuyahoga County. On top of that, the CFO work with the Superintendent and department heads in developing and implementing processes and procedures throughout the Cuyahoga DD to ensure financial planning, along with creating our Annual Plan.  In other words, we are looking for a trusted partner to join our leadership team.
