Where the Chemistry Happens Quality Assurance Lab Technician (2002936)- Livonia, MI We are seeking a professional like you to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for timely analysis of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products to verify conformity to specifications and activities related to batch manufacturing operations at the Livonia site. We are in search of a safety conscious, dedicated, energetic, team-oriented individual to become part of a dynamic work environment contributing to a successful Polyurethane System business. You will actively participate in EHS initiatives and compliance; including adherence to established safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. Utilizing your laboratory knowledge, you will perform required testing on in-process batch samples and finished goods to determine if product specifications are met and operate auxiliary lab equipment (Band Saw, Water Baths, Centrifuge, etc.) as required to prepare and test batch performance against specifications. Your superior communication skills will serve you well as you work closely with other lab shift technicians to perform lab testing requirements and communicate results. Demonstrating your proficiency in laboratory quality compliance, you will monitor and review instrument controls using routine instrument checks through calibration, verification, and/or validation. Utilizing your proficiency in SAP QM, Microsoft Office, and Minitab you will maintain daily input of data management systems for COA generation, quality release, root cause analysis, NCM investigations and trend reporting. You will modify and validate work procedures as required to ensure proper documentation of lab activities; inclusive of logbooks, databases, check sheets, worksheets, etc. and develop or modify laboratory procedures as required to maintain safe work conditions and meet continuous improvement targets. Your commitment to workplace safety will be critical as you will be required to comply with safety procedures such as Safe Work, management of change, good housekeeping and incident reporting/investigation. Train new employees on lab activities and perform other job non-routine or specialized duties as needed may be assigned. Plant operations are Sunday - Friday. Fixed non-rotating shifts. 40-hour work week plus overtime opportunities: 3rd Shift - Sun - Fri, 22-30 PM - 07-00AM 1st Shift - Mon - Fri, 6-30 AM - 15-00 PM 2nd Shift - Mon - Fri, 14-30 PM - 23-00 PM Create Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer You...
