What you’ll be doing...

The Verizon Fraud Business Intelligence and Data organization is looking for highly skilled and experienced data management experts. The Fraud RAD team is responsible for data creation, validation, and automation with a primary focus on wireless and wireline fraud activity and risks for Fraud strategy and operations. This team also supports multiple functions across the organization to enable fraud analytics and intelligence.

The data management professional will support our organization by defining and delivering data solutions for use by the Business Intelligence team, broader Fraud team, Compliance, Corporate Security, and others. Key responsibilities include providing recommendations and solutions for improving data accessibility and accuracy, developing data management strategies, maintaining and enhancing existing infrastructure, and ensuring data security protocols are strictly adhered to.

• Develop and deliver database and other data-driven solutions to support business needs and drive self-service analytics.
• Build infrastructure and maintain scalable architectures from complex data sets across multiple platforms to enable business agility.
• Work with Fraud IT department and vendor resources to enable end to end monitoring.
• Develop and implement reporting automation.
• Oversee data governance, integrity, and security across all data requests through validation processes and thorough understanding of data sharing limitations.
• Continuously develop and enhance understanding of existing data infrastructure and source systems as well as new technologies, tools, and methods in data architecture and BI infrastructure.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor degree in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Data Management Tools such as SQL Server or Talend.
• Expert in data querying syntax such as SQL or PostGres.

Even better if you have:

• Master degree in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration.
• Unstructured data experience.
• Experience in a data mining role with strong quantitative and analytical skills and a proven track record of turning large amounts of multi-faceted data into meaningful information.
• Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint for data manipulation and report creation.
• Familiarity with common data analysis and data visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, etc)
