What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for owning the Public Sector specific requirements definition and integration of the existing Federal Managed Security Service and the SLED Managed Security Service product. You will ensure the compliance and fit for market of the Managed Security Service product set in coordination with the security product delivery team but aligned to the Public Sector Strategy.

You will require a firm understanding of the Public Sector, including Federal and State and Local markets, contracting and compliance.You will also need a deep technical understanding of cyber security and managed cyber security including Security Operations Centers, especially within government domains. You will need the ability to manage others that don’t report to you and that may be more senior in rank.This role requires an ability to manage large and complex projects, including resources, people and budgets.

You will be solely responsible for setting prioritization for the public sector roadmap for Managed Security Services.They will use market data, success rates in enterprise, forecasts and competitive intelligence to set this roadmap and work it with the security product team.

Product Manager for end to end Managed Security Services for Public Sector, including lifecycle management of the existing portfolio of solutions supporting Public Sector Managed Security such as MTIPS, TIC 3.0, Software Defined Perimeter, Managed Detection & Response, etc.

• Developing the capital budget each year for public sector Managed Security Services.
• Defining requirements and manage the development and integration of Federal and Commercial/SLED MSS platforms while caring for the compliance, (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST, etc.)boundaries and contract vehicles of each vertical within the Public Sector segment.
• Charting the vision of Managed Security Services in Public Sector, including new solutions that must be introduced as a result of TIC 3.0.
• Coordinating with sales, business development, analysts and customers to understand the market demand for MSS and ensure the Verizon MSS roadmap is positioned for success. Coordinating with the security product team to ensure new products and services being launched will be able to be supported by the Public Sector MSS platform.
• Integrating of Federal and SLED MSS requires coordination between Federal SOC and Commercial SOC.
• Developing the business case for the expansion of the Federal SOC to be able to support SLED customers.
• Advocating for the transfer of headcount, resources and funding to be able to support all of Public Sector.
• Coordinating with the CISO organization to design boundaries within the integrated MSS platform to care for the compliance of each vertical within Public Sector.
• Identifying what products are needed in the roadmap in Public Sector and coordinate with the security product team to effectively set the prioritization of the roadmap, will also ensure there is sufficient capital to launch these products into Public Sector caring for the market fit, contract availability and compliance.
• Designing the integration of MSS platforms across Public Sector. They will work with the existing MSS teams, SOCs, CISO and product teams but will be the lead on the evaluation and management of integration.
• Managing the Product development process across organizations by ensuring clear direction is communicated to engineering and operations teams when defining and prioritizing features, enhancements, platform improvements, and customer requests.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

• Master's degree.
• Ten or more years of experience.
• Certifications: CISM, CCSP, COMPTIA Security+.
• Five or more years of experience with one or more of the following: Cyber-Security solutions, Managed Security Service, Vulnerability Research, SIEM Tools, etc., Firewall, IDS/IPS, Web Content Filtering, DDoS Mitigation, etc.
• Product Management experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) or Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings for enterprises.
