The controller leads a team of approximately 20 experienced accounting professionals including corporate and project accountants and reports to the global controller of the CBRE Real Estate Investment segment while also maintaining connectivity to Trammell Crow senior leadership. The successful candidate will be an experienced, hands-on controller with the ability to lead the team in the transition from a highly manual workflow to a more strategic, automated workflow, including a planned ERP implementation. Qualifications: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 7 years of management and supervisory experience and knowledge of U.S. public company internal control and reporting requirements. Solid working knowledge of development, construction, and/or real estate accounting. Strong technical grasp of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 970. Demonstrated ability to implement process and/or system improvements and lead through periods of change. Track record of effectively managing both people and processes and contributing to the professional development of teams and direct reports.
