Job Description:

This Infrastructure Engineer provides a key role within the Deposit Operations and Debit Card Technology (DODCT) Platform Services organization. Services include multiple functions and initiatives that are focused on maintaining and improving the operational health, stability, availability, and resiliency of the DODCT environment. This role will help to ensure that the relevant supported applications and platforms are maintained to Enterprise standards, including those of Enterprise Information Security. The person in this role will work with peers across DODCT Platform Services and Application Development and is jointly accountable for the operational availability and stability of supported applications and platforms.
 
Key Responsibilities Include:

• Application support efforts on multiple platforms.
• Acts as primary contact for administrative support and production issue analysis & resolution.
• Tracks application and batch performance and assists with remediation of issues.
• Ensure PAC2000 tickets meet established SLAs.
• Ensure application monitoring meets best practices.
• Execute BCP plan for application; coordinate logistics for plan implementation.
• Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas.

• 5+ years of systems analysis experience, systems programming experience or combination of both
• 5+ years of application production support experience
• 5+ years of Linux or Unix Server experience
• 5+ years of WebSphere experience
• 5+ years of Tomcat development or implementation experience
• 3+ years of MQ Series Messaging experience
• 3+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Java, or PL-SQL

• Knowledge of design methodology, Infrastructure operations support or engineering
• 2+ years of experience with Agile, Kanban, or Lean methodology
• 3+ years of Network Data Mover (NDM) experience
• Knowledge and understanding of technology monitoring: applications to ensure 24x7 uptime
• Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
• Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to manage efforts that require integration of multiple technology systems, operations, or processes
• Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
