The Role The content management capability leader will be a critical member of the Virtual Capabilities leadership team within the Digital Platforms Group. The capabilities team provides product management leadership in support of creating great customer experiences. We work across the following disciplines: content management, identity management, authentication, document management, interaction data, and alerts and notifications. This position will be responsible for developing and executing the content management strategy and objectives to serve the digital platform team and enterprise partners. This leader will collaborate closely with digital partners and lines of business to identify opportunities, create a plan and execute to drive stated outcomes. The goal is to develop a flexible, efficient content management platform. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the complexities, issues and best practices in the content management space, and will leverage that knowledge in creating and executing a strategy for how content should be managed at Wells Fargo. This is a highly visible role that requires enterprise-wide partnership and collaboration, leadership and influence. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Understand and frame the current opportunities, recommended solutions and outcomes for our content management system
- Develop, socialize and gain support for a strategy that serves the digital platform team and line of business/enterprise function priorities
- Define and deliver the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the platform and team
- Serve as conduit to key strategies and trends in the overall content management space
- Successfully lead scrums to ensure backlogs are prioritized against OKRs and our highest priorities
- Partner and collaborate proactively and effectively with critical partners including lines of business, enterprise functions, partners across Strategy Digital and Innovation division, technology, experience design, delivery/agile and channels
- Actively participate on the Virtual Capabilities leadership team and provide leadership to team of 10
- Effectively identity and manage risks in alignment with our risk framework, policies and control guidance
- Encourage collaboration and easily gain trust and support of others
- Quickly find common ground and solve problems on behalf of broader team
The Candidate The successful candidate for this role will demonstrate excellent content domain expertise and the ability to partner broadly with other leaders to achieve success. This role requires a leader with strong relationship management, influencing, product management and delivery skills. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, matrixed corporate environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement while making decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgement. Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of leadership experience
- 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting
Other Desired Qualifications
- Expertise in developing and leading content management capability/platform for a large business function
- Experience developing an enterprise strategy for digital platform or product management function; manage associated socialization, collaboration and influence in setting strategic direction and gaining support
- Excellent communication skills that create alignment and influence
- Exceptional leadership ability – both in leading their team, influencing the Virtual Capabilities leadership team, and leading in a matrixed environment with partners
- Keen eye for detail and ability to drive forward programs that result in delivering progress against OKRs
- Ability to lead and develop a team of digital consultants
- Proven ability to drive change and success in fast paced environments, with flexibility to adjust as appropriate
- Ability to serve as a consultant to business partners to identify needs and define strategies and plans that present solutions
- Proven history as a highly influential and collaborative leader
- Knowledge and understanding of how strategies are translated into a strategic roadmap and business outcomes/KPIs
- Agile leadership experience
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree
