The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Participating in all phases of the SDLC, including design, software development, automated testing, code reviews, and on occasion, escalated customer support.
• Implementing creative solutions in the next generation of our industry leading medical coding software
• Collaborating with other software engineers, clinical specialists, NLP researchers and subject matter experts
• Ensuring professional, quality and security standards are complied with while performing duties
• Creating solutions widely used by health care organization across the country and internationally.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of fourteen 1(4) years of experience in software development in lieu of the bachelor's degree education requirement
• Five (5) years of professional experience using at least two of the following technologies groups:
  • C#/.NET
  • JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Java
  • Python
• Three (3) years of experience developing and supporting production applications in AWS
• Three (3) years of experience with Angular

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• SQL expertise: Complex Queries, Stored Procedures, Views, and Functions
• Working experience with Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment(CD) including automated unit, integration and load testing. (i.e. xUnit, Cucumber, Artillery, Selenium, Katalon)
• Understanding of network engineering concepts such as firewalls and load balancers
• AWS certifications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment

Travel: May include up to 5 % domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
