The Software Engineer Acts in a lead technical role providing technical guidance and consultation with application teams, clients, and Engineering Managers for their technology domain environments including but not limited to cloud, middleware, operating systems, applications, Software-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service products. Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices. Provides the strategy and design for projects associated with their technology domain including, upgrades and deployments. Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate their technology domain with other technology domains, enabling the creation of new or expanded heterogeneous environments. Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures. Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets. As an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems. Leads projects and manages the work of less experienced staff. Assures quality,
security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain. The primary responsibility will be software development as part of a high-functioning Agile team.  Project work requires the ability to execute well across the entire development lifecycle and within each of the application layers: presentation, business logic, and data.  This position will work on Wealth and Investment Management Technology Agile teams to provide application design, development, and testing utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. 

This position will be working on the Portfolio Alignment team in the Planning and Advice value stream.  Expected to be passionately interested in making improvements and create high quality work.  Will be a full stack developer including responsible for creating automated tests.  Will be an active participant in all agile ceremonies (e.g. SCRUM, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning and Sprint Review).  

Responsibilities:

• Work in a SCRUM team in a AGILE environment
• Design, develop and write test automation code
• Use C#, C#.NET and JAVA
• Create Test automation using Selenium

This position can be based at the Wells Fargo site location in Glen Allen, VA .

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of C#.NET experience
• 3 + years of AngularJS experience
• 5+ years of source/version control tools experience
• 5 + years of web application development experience

• An industry-standard technology certification
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Knowledge and understanding of Selenium software testing framework
• Git or GitHub experience
• 1+ year of Java experience
• Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban

• Experience working in Brokerage or Wealth Management

• Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
