The Role The Authentication leader will be a critical member of the Authentication Capability leadership team within the Virtual Capabilities organization, reporting directly to the Authentication Capability Leader. The authentication capabilities team provides authentication product management leadership across the company. We design and support great authentication customer experiences as part of the Virtual Capabilities organization which focuses on the following disciplines: authentication, identity management, document management, interaction data, and alerts and notifications.
Specifically, this role will execute on strategy, opportunities and business outcomes/KPIs for customer authentication capabilities at Wells Fargo. Capabilities include: biometrics (touch/face/voice); authentication orchestration infrastructure, strategy and roadmap; login management customer experience and capabilities; multifactor authentication methods (e.g., One Time Passcodes); device management; and the Wells Fargo's authentication hierarchy framework. This role will interact with all retail channels (e.g., Call Center, Branch, ATM, Mobile and Online) as well as supporting the needs of all retail lines of business (LOBs).
This is a critical role that requires enterprise-wide partnership and collaboration, leadership and influence.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Understand and frame the current opportunities, recommended solutions and outcomes for our authentication capabilities Socialize and gain support for the authentication strategy that serves the digital platform team and line of business/enterprise function priorities Define and deliver the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the authentication platform and team Serve as conduit to key strategies and trends in the authentication capabilities space Successfully lead the authentication scrums and ensure backlogs are prioritized against OKRs and highest priorities Partner and collaborate proactively and effectively with critical partners including lines of business, enterprise functions leveraging authentication, partners across Strategy Digital and Innovation division, technology, experience design, delivery/agile and channel partners Actively participate on the Authentication Capability leadership team and provide leadership to team of 7-10 employees Effectively identify and manage all risks associated with our authentication systems, processes and procedures, in alignment with our risk framework, policies and control partners Sponsor all authentication initiatives, providing approvals and oversight of initiative documentation and processes Partner with Experience Design experts to provide world-class customer experiences Address and resolve customer complaints as provided by Wells Fargo customer complaint processes Manage all third party vendor relationships, responsible for ongoing relationship management risk activities Encourage collaboration and easily gain trust and support of others Quickly find common ground and solve problems on behalf of broader team The Candidate The successful candidate for this role will demonstrate excellent authentication domain expertise and the ability to partner broadly with other leaders to achieve success. This role requires a leader with strong relationship management, influencing, product management and delivery skills. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, matrixed corporate environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement while making decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgement.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting
- 8+ years of leadership experience
Other Desired Qualifications
Expertise in developing and leading authentication capability/platform for a large business function - Experience developing an enterprise strategy for digital platform or product management function; manage associated socialization, collaboration and influence in setting strategic direction and gaining support
- Excellent strategic communication skills that create alignment and influence
- Exceptional leadership ability – both in leading their team, and influencing others outside the team, while leading in a matrixed environment with a broad set of partners
- Keen eye for detail and ability to drive forward programs that result in delivering progress against OKRs
- Ability to lead and develop a team of digital consultants
- Proven ability to drive change and success in fast paced environments, with flexibility to adjust as appropriate
- Ability to serve as a consultant to business partners to identify needs and define strategies and plans that present solutions
- Proven history as a highly influential and collaborative leader
- Knowledge and understanding of how strategies are translated into a strategic roadmap and business outcomes/KPIs
- Agile leadership experience
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree
