Department Overview
Enterprise Functions comprises Finance, HR, Public Affair and Legal functions. These enterprise functions develops and implements operational strategies to support Wells Fargo's business objectives. About the Role
This position will report into the Enterprise Functions Controls group, Analytics and Reporting Control Program Team. The candidate will be responsible for complex partner assignments to identify and define strategic business issues that require analyses and translates this information into insight, knowledge and understanding of the business and the industry. Consults and performs complex analyses/design involving data mining from multiple sources and/or predictive modeling, financial, comparative analysis, demographic analysis, etc.
Responsibilities- Manages a team of Associate Managers, Officers and/or Sr Associates or cross-functional teams in accomplishing goals and priorities.
- Evaluates and provides strategic guidance for reporting and analytics team to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and risk strategies
- Transition reporting and analytics work from the global team to India and Philippines
- Consult on complex analysis/design involving data mining from multiple sources and/or predictive modeling, financial, comparative analysis, demographic analysis, etc.
- Establish appropriate quality check and controls on the data and reports produced by the team
- Build to a certain degree, may be involved directly or indirectly in the technical build-out and/or support of database/BI tool like Tableau and prepare relevant dashboards
- Managemultiple project timelines concurrently
- Lead through all aspects of the analytics lifecycle from intake and defining a business problem to extracting data, manipulating data, generating insights, and summarizing 'the story' for partners and leaders
- Supports the Function in metric / measure development for key risk indicators, and monitor risk metrics on an ongoing basis.
- Partners with the Function to ensure that breaches are escalated according to the Risk Policies.
- Manage communication and collaboration with function heads, Corporate Risk, Legal, Audit and regulators regarding risk management of business-specific risk programs.
- Oversees programs or initiatives related to Enterprise strategy with considerable impact across the Enterprise and externally.
- Foster relationships with global and regional stakeholders and manage conflicts (if any)
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications- University degree in Business or related discipline.
- 18+ years of experience in risk management or 18+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 15+ years must include direct experience in risk management
- Knowledge of the Operational Risk Framework and disciplines primarily in the Banking industry and its related operations .
- Strategic thinking and Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Fluency in English. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. - Experience with reporting and analytics related work
- Experience in working on Tableau/BI tool
- Ability to work with and communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications- Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions
- Certification in Operational Risk Management
- Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis.
- Certification in Six Sigma
