This Principal Solution Designer for Data Analytics Environments Technology which encompasses ATOM BLADE and the Business Intelligence Competency Center (BICC). You'll be part of a technical team building enterprise analytic environments through all phases of the system development life cycle including estimating, analysis, design, testing, implementation, user support and documentation, as well as designing and executing the next generation BI Tool architecture for Wells Fargo. Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes: - This position is responsible for participating in the creation and implementation of a technology framework for compliant and analyst enabled BI environments and providing strong technical expertise to application development teams and senior technology management.
- Responsible for being a technical expert, innovator, and strategic thought leader within an analytics technology engineering discipline such as applications, micro-services, network, information security, database, DataOps, CI/CD, DevOps, and web technologies, as well as interpreting policy requirements into compliant and cost-effective designs.
- Translates advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions for analytics.
- Acts as an expert in the development of compliant target architectures following a practical and achievable approach.
- Maintains knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
- Develops standards and best practices and for engineering complex, large-scale technology solutions to address highly complex and typically cross-organizational issues, while maintaining broad knowledge of other technology engineering disciplines and partnering with other key experts.
- Maintains knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
- May represent Wells Fargo to external industry groups, influencing industry standards.
- Provides expert counsel to senior technology leadership and advises and mentors others with the goal of knowledge transfer.
- Be the escalation point for teams facing extremely complex technical challenges
- Ability to provide executive level updates for complex analytics data platform solutions for e.g. Build vs Buy decision
- Effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders across the enterprise, at all levels of the organization
- Lead team technically, provide coaching and development, drive architecture/design reviews focused on business requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Private Cloud or Hybrid Cloud environment
- 3+ years of experience securing container solutions
- 3+ years of experience with secure DevOps and deployment automation to cloud environments
- 3+ years of microservices development experience
- 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: Cloud Foundry or Kubernetes
- 10+ years of engineering experience; or 10+ years of experience in a technical management role
Desired Qualifications
- A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
- Experience supporting senior level leaders/executives
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- A Masters degree or higher in computer science or finance

- Must have knowledge of the latest technology and industry practices
- Ability to convey and understand organizational goals.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, DevOps, DataOps, and CI/CD, as well as expert knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them as needed.
- Experience working on large scale technical projects.
- Strong technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to technical teams, and to objectively evaluate complex project issues and risks.
- Very well versed in using Agile methodologies to design solutions
- Ability to lead and guide technical and business teams to build product and services
- Very well versed in designing and documenting enterprise data solutions
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize while supporting multiple projects
- Proficient with collaboration
- Outstanding presentation skills with a high degree of comfort, to leadership and program stakeholders and organization executives
- Strong software development background
- Strong metadata development
- Designing and leading data analytics strategies
- Experience with streamlining data collection and integration processes.
- Ability to recommend and implement industry best practices for advanced and real time analytics.
- Experience with cloud technologies, and the associated data science, analytics, data management, and data visualization tools, such as Azure, AWS, GCP etc.
- Research methodologies and principles (qualitative and quantitative)
- Advanced skills in the design, deployment, and evaluation of tools, frameworks, and patterns to build scalable data platforms
- Excellent data management skills and analytical thinking capabilities
