Job Description This role is in printed circuit board assembly and working on process flow for the operation in a manufacturing facility. As part of this role you would be programming equipment to support new products. A large part of this role is supporting the production floor and improving processes, and evaluating innovative technologies to increase efficiency and performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:FunctionalResponds to manufacturing problems by investigating and resolving such problems to assure a continuing flow of production.Assists in the introduction of new products through tooling and production equipment, bill of materials, structuring manufacturing instructions and other documentation.Provides continuing product engineering through the initiation of improvements in systems and procedures, and initiation of new design in support of an existing product and resolving of problems in performance, quality by design changes or complete redesign when necessary.Uses personal computer to obtain, organize, and analyze data to prepare charts and reports. These could include but are not limited to: SAP, EXCEL, WORD, AUTOCAD, POWERPOINT, AND MICROSOFT PROJECT.Implements production routing, assembly aids, labor standards for shop floor and MRP system control.Develops cost estimates for new and changes to existing products.Assists with developing and implementing cost reduction programs that are multifaceted in nature by proposing product redesigns or selection of lower cost components, or by processing and by adding new processes and equipment.Determines the need for, establishes and maintains manufacturing standards and engineering product or process specifications.Maintains expertise in labor standards and methods improvements through seminars, journals and membership in professional societies.Formulates manufacturing systems and floor plans.Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems with electronic, electromechanical equipment, product and systems.Actively supports corporate productivity / continuous improvement goals by suggesting and implementing ideas / projects as assigned.LeadershipProvides leadership to coordinate and implement product, process and manufacturing location changes to support overall business goals and objectives.Manage projects efficiently with accountability for results. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering5 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with software or programming developmentExperience/Knowledge with universal instruments placement equipmentExperience/Knowledge with soldering and IPC workmanship standardsExperience in the following preferred: Programming of Automated Optical Inspection Machine, material flow, material handling, simple controls automation, and basic Ethernet networking knowledge.Experience with SAP.Lean Six Sigma belt and/or experience.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to the job.
