Job Description Together with the Proposals Manager, responsible for developing the business through partnering with sales to communicate to customers and identify and respond to opportunities. The Proposals Engineer will be required to operate directly with Sensia customers and Parent Companies Sales Teams to formulate solutions which meet the customer's technical and commercial requirements. These solutions will need to be fully costed and presented to the customer clearly defining the scope of services and delivery timeline. The Proposals Engineer will also be required to work with Sales to determine strategic and tactical market engagement to meet or exceed business growth target. Several years experience in an (inside) sales position in industrial automation. -
Experience with direct customer contact. -
Information & Control Engineering/Sales Experience. -

Degree qualified in an Engineering or Business Discipline or significant experience in Sales or Engineering. -
Broad knowledge of 'total automation solutions', based on the RA Integrated Architecture, including services, buyouts like panel building, networking, interfacing to foreign equipment, etc -
Local language skills, plus excellent English language (verbal and written), very good French language (verbal and written). Principal duties and responsibilities: Overview -
Take responsibility for proposal generation against defined customer requirements. This also includes commercial T&C's -
Responsible for the preparation and presentation of quotes, sales proposals, and contracts to the customer in compliance with company policies and standards, obtaining the appropriated approvals. -
Consult with other functions on issues like pricing, product specification, warranties and product adaptation to ensure that we provide the appropriate business and technical solution to the customer needs. -
Must be able to work in a stressful environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged. -
Must perform duties in the office or outside the office as part of a proposal team. -
Manage cost calculations through liaison with project team members, product specialists, sales and multiple vendors. Functional -
Responsible for the assessment of sales enquiries, scope definition, costing and Quotation generation. -
Ability to integrate with Sales to maintain seamless engagement with existing & prospective customers -
Ability to integrate with the GMS capabilities to ensure Solution Scope, Pricing and Timeline are clearly defined. -
