Job Description Responsible for the Intelligent Devices (ITD) business in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The Intelligent Devices business consists of all drives, motion control, distributed I/O, safety, sensing, and industrial control products. Driving product strategy definition, requirements analysis, and pricing. Development of business plans, managing lifecycles, and product positioning in the marketplace. Reduces broad concepts and business strategies into structured growth plans. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs. Interacts with customers, engineering, R&D and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Leads new product introductions and business plans with joint departments. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Orders, sales, and margin responsibility for the business. Leads an international and multicultural team of people. Representative of the ITD business unit in EMEA, establish good working relationships with other functions like operations, finance, sales, marketing, and others. - Drive the business forward to exceed the yearly orders and sales plan.

- Provide feedback to the global business units on the market trends, defining new market opportunities and actions to win.

- Co-operate with the sales force in promoting the ITD product offering at direct customers and channel partners.
- Plan and execute commercial programs related to product responsibility.
- Analyze competitive product lines, have knowledge of competitor's strategy, further define competitive differentiators.
- Lead launch of new products to the sales force and channel.
- Collaborate and share insights with regional and global peers.
- Understand business models, organization and go to market strategy, leverage where appropriate.
- Knowledge of the industry strategies, familiarity with outcome-based selling.
- Understands the business drivers and KPI's of the customer.
- Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
- Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, and managing expense budgets.
- Participates with other senior leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives.
- Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders of the organization.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education - BS in Engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge; further education in business administration is a plus.
- Experience of min 5 years in running an industrial automation business, and related demonstrated sales experience.
