Job Description

The Technical Consultant (TC) is responsible for enhancing the technical relationship between Rockwell Automation and key customers. The emphasis is to create a significant competitive advantage for the customers.

The TC uses technical and communication skills, engineering methodologies and life cycle support competencies to solve customer problems and add value.

As a technical expert the Technical Consultant provides high quality expertise and guidance to drive RA technology adoption at our customers, leveraging industry best practices in a customer centric approach.

This role reports to the Manager, Technical Consultants and could be located in all Europe Region.

What you will do

• Work proactively with the customer to develop product and architectural solutions and standards.
• Responsible for global project co-ordination. This include communications of technical implementation issues, project notification and tracking, OEM co-ordination and/or conversion assistance and customer support plan development.
• Spearhead the exchange of best practices within the particular industry sector as well as Rockwell Automation.
• Co-planning with Enterprise Account sales and the Vertical Industry Team.
• Be responsible to maintain and improve documentation and implementation of the Quality System as indicated in the Quality manual.
• Act as a sound business partner to local, regional and global management, including Sales, Business Unit and support function management.
• Provide sound financial and business analysis on an ad-hoc basis to support the growth and profitability of the business.

Basic qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years related experience with recognized technical expertise.
• Strong application and manufacturing knowledge.
• Demonstrated program management skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Information Solution Affinity.
• Ability to put together solutions and technical architectures related to Digital Transformation, and demonstrated their add on value.
• Understand Rockwell's IoT Platform and capability.
• Understand Rockwell's Eco system and partner capabilities.
• MES background (MES solutions and ERP interfacing).
• Cyber security (IEC 62443).
• Advanced knowledge on the capabilities of Rockwell Automations PLC, HMI, ThinManager, network products
