We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic User Experience Designer (UXD) with a can-do attitude to join our talented team! Preferred location is Milwaukee, WI but will consider qualified candidate to work remote anywhere in the continental United State Essential Functions : Working across the Analytics Solution Group with internal and external technical execution teams, the User Experience Designer is responsible for delivering the visual design and user interface for digital experiences for the core portfolio (PTC ThingWorx and FactoryTalk Analytics with Vuforia suite), while also guiding development by understanding the needs of the user and focusing on best practices in user experience, technical excellence, performance, and accessibility. The User Experience Designer will play a crucial role in collaborating with stakeholders to develop and improve the customer journey by utilizing customer research, feedback, and analytics. The successful candidate must be creative, collaborative, common-sense driven, and possess an innate passion and curiosity for the digital space. The individual must be a self-starter with strong communication skills and be able to multitask across different disciplines. Some client travel is expected, but most of the client's work will be performed remotely from a Rockwell office. Functional: - Create wireframes, journey maps, functional specifications, high-fidelity designs and HTML prototypes based on business requirements, user research and user feedback.
- Contribute to the development and ensure implementation of design, brand and accessibility standards on all digital projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external designers, developers and stakeholders to solve problems elegantly and effectively.
- Be the voice of our customers and advocate for the best user experience.
- Keep current with digital trends and recommend/advocate innovative opportunities that benefit Rockwell Automation through researching, attending a conference to support Analytics Solutions Group

Qualifications Required: - At least 3-5 years of professional experience within a design or development environment
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, visual communication, marketing, graphic design or a related discipline required. Or, equivalent demonstrated experience and expertise.
- Strong knowledge of design tools including Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, InVision, Axure, OmniGraffle and similar applications.
- Technical experience with HTML, CSS and browser dev tools.
- Lead, mentor, and train others in user-centered design techniques, principles, and practices and how to apply them.
- Conduct design reviews with peers and stakeholders, giving and receiving feedback to improve the overall design and align to standards.
- Help establish, improve, promote and institutionalize design systems, standards, practices and reusable components.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Willing and able to travel and work at client sites. Travel can vary on assignment from 0% to 100% but an average of 30%.
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
Qualifications Preferred: - Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering (STEM), or equivalent experience
- Experience designing for progressive web applications and mobile platforms (iOS/Android).
- Experience with Designing Experiences within:
- PTC ThingWorx, ThingWorx Analytics & Kepware
- Rockwell FactoryTalk Analytics: DataView, DataFlowML, Edge
- Understanding of Lean and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with responsive web design, personalization strategies and working within a CMS and custom coded environments.
- Experience coding for accessibility and search engine optimization.
- Knowledge of analytics, reporting, tag management and event tracking.
- UX design certification or education.
- Experience in internationalization and cross-cultural design desired.
