As part of our development engineering expansion footprint, the Power Control Business (PCB) Singapore Campus manager is a newly created leadership role that is responsible for the management of the development engineering team operating as part of the global PCB development organization.

This leader should be well in tune with regional ecosystem, including talent acquisition channels, identifying setup needs, government regulations, licenses and other aspects that are necessary for a successful operation of this campus for Rockwell Automation. The manager will be responsible for building a highly capable and motivated Development organization from the ground up, recruiting key talent from the regional market at a fast pace.

Apply PCB processes, practices, and reporting for development, testing, and project management. This position is also responsible for ensuring the alignment of HR, financial, and IT operations in the location with regional processes/practices.

This position will work with other managers, directors, both within region and globally. In the end, the manager is responsible for the development of high-quality products and/or subsystems in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

This position reports into the global business manager for component drive business unit in Singapore and functional support through the Director of Development Engineering for Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Drives based in the US.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and leading recruitment activities, in-depth knowledge of talent acquisition approaches

• Understand team structure for a software/firmware organization and build teams with appropriate skill mixes in play.
• Supervise effective working of all campus related activities and coordinate with global teams.
• Maintain a safe, transparent environment for employees to work and innovate.
• Having wide-ranging management experience. Resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments. Involved in developing, modifying, and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect.
• Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Requires the ability to change the thinking of or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations. Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
• Ensures thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to: Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, government regulations (e.g., health, safety, quality and environmental), and functional policies published by Rockwell Automation.

Qualifications : Education, Desired Skills and Experience

• University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent required. Master's in Business Administration is desirable.
• Possess a minimum of 10 years' experience in a Software or Firmware Organization, with minimum of 5 years' experience in establishing and building teams.
• Experience should include significant background in setup and management of with large scale system development projects.
• Experience with industrial automation, industrial networking (including EtherNet/IP), and network security is a plus.
• Excellent leadership with a strong culture of inclusion. Ability to coach and mentor team.
• A collaborator, ability to align and influence critical stakeholders and gain confidence of senior level personnel (internal and external) in a highly collaborative, matrixed stakeholder organization.
• Well established ability to organize and direct activities of other employees and communicate with a globally distributed team is required.
• Proven ability to communicate information of a complex nature clearly and concisely in verbal and written form required.
• Demonstrate customer centric culture to understand our internal and external customers. Accept job requirement to connect in a global environment and with light international travel.
