Job Description

This Senior V&V Test Engineer, New Product Development role is responsible for leading test efforts for the verification and certification of Rockwell Automation Kinetix AC Servo Drives and Motors.

The Senior V&V Test Engineer works closely with the new product design team (electrical, mechanical and software engineers) and other cross-functional team members within Rockwell Automation and reports to the Engineering Test Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a new product development engineering environment.

• Knowledge of the fundamentals of product verification and validation testing.

• Understanding of EMC standards and test techniques.

• Experience in laboratory testing and use of test equipment including oscilloscopes, data acquisition equipment, spectrum analyzers, etc.

• Experience in communication and documentation skills in order to clearly convey status updates, technical issues, etc.

• Works well in a team environment and with other functional groups such as design engineering, product quality, product marketing and outside test laboratories.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience using test automation tools and programming languages such as Python.

• Experience with design and test requirements for certifications such as UL, CE, etc.

• Familiar with AC Servo Drives and AC Servo Motors.

• Familiar with Ladder Logic Programming.

• Familiar with Design for Six Sigma (DfSS) tools and techniques.
