As MES/MOM product manager, you are a key asset within the Software & Control organization, contributing to the overall success of the business unit.

You will team up with the people who create a MOM product, those who use the MOM product and those who manage the business to ensure that the product meets the needs of all stakeholders.

This includes improvement of existing products as well at developing new products. Everything you do being driven by the idea of creating value for customers and by doing so, enabling sharing in the value created, thus enabling new revenue for the company. You will build on and evolve existing solution concepts, but you will also help develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your communication with customers and prospects.

Your unique blend of business and technical savvy will enable you to draw big-picture visions, and to drive those visions to reality.

Based on your motivation to spend time in the market and to understand the industry's problems, you will find innovative solutions for the broader market.

Your strong communication skills will allow you to develop your network throughout the company. You will work with engineering counterparts to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing and communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them to understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers. You will work with the quality group to meet compliance requirements and to ensure product quality. You will also serve as the internal and external ambassador for your product offering, working together with the sales channel and key customers.

• Managing the entire product line lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
• Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and prospects.
• Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract and positioning.
• Developing and implementing a company wide go to market plan, working with all departments to execute.

• Research competitors and similar products
• Interact with the product owners in agile teams that develop the product

• 3+ years of software marketing / product management experience
• Work experience that lead to deep exposure to manufacturing operations management in batch, assembly, or continuous processes - ideally in a variety of manufacturing industries
• Knowledgeable in Manufacturing Execution Systems, batch and continuous control, Industry 4.0, Industrial Internet of things
• Knowledge and experience with Automation and Operational IT and related technologies
• Computer Science or Engineering Degree
• Business Management / Product Management Qualification

• Motivated team player in global cross functional teams
• This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites worldwide
