JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager will be an instrumental team member driving dual goals of clear language and 'competitive differentiation - for our global Facilities Management (FM) business. This role operates as part of a small core team charged with understanding, enhancing and aligning the sales materials surrounding a complex and highly technical global offering by the world's largest real estate company. The candidate will collaborate across senior levels of CBRE (primarily Facility Management, Sales, Marketing, and Communications) to bring value propositions to life. Their work will enhance outbound clarity, drive inbound demand, and contribute to the overall success of our business with internal and external audiences.
The candidate must have a strong and natural understanding of how to create compelling and differentiated messaging that conveys the unique vision and strategy for each of our Facility Management business' products, services, technologies, and capabilities. The candidate must be able to grasp and succinctly articulate benefits and features to help our leaders clearly differentiate from competitors through thought leadership, marketing, and sales materials.
To succeed, this individual must be an extremely talented, passionate and detailed writer capable of networking effectively across the organization and industry to build a broad perspective and a range of resources. The incumbent must work as an effective collaborator and work effectively in a matrix environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create simple and clear ways to communicate complex concepts and detailed services that CBRE's Facilities Management business offers.
- Interview internal and external subject matter experts on a variety of topics and translate that information into captivating and concrete storytelling
- Research, write and edit copy for marketing content including but not limited to business proposals (RFPS) newsletters, videos, case studies, blog posts, website content, presentations, and more
- Long-form and short-form copywriting for digital and print
- Work with FM Business leads and FM Marketing Director to translate complex products and offerings into clear and concise messaging
- Work with sales and marketing colleagues to conduct research and develop customer personas that will align content with buyers' needs across the customer lifecycle.
- Work with Marketing Director and Pursuit Excellence to conduct regular audits on content library, identify opportunities to refresh and repurpose content while also identifying content gaps to inform on-going content development plans
- Work with marketing and business leaders on content themes and integrated campaigns.
- Lead message development for multiple channels
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Marketing or Communications strongly preferred
- 5 years of relevant content marketing industry writing experience
- Experience working within Facilities Management, Technical Products, Financial Services, Commercial Real Estate, Technology or Consulting industries preferred

- Ability to understand the strategic priorities of the business and adapt marketing tools accordingly
- Strong writing skills and ability to adopt various cultural business practices
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex business documents
- Ability to engage others in the gathering and analysis of information then make recommendations
- Commercial real estate knowledge preferred
- Solid understanding of different marketing disciplines, functions
- Excellent writing and editing skills (writing samples required)
