Our global team specializes in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, procure-to-pay capabilities, and timely supply chain analytics. We also connect with our communities through supplier diversity outreach and by embedding socially responsible strategies into our sourcing processes. About the RoleTeam members negotiate, review, create and execute the Supply chain contracts. Leads contract negotiation and conducts basic analysis of vendor contracts to identify inconsistencies with standard template language. Analyzes database to identify cost and business opportunities. Scope limited to contract negotiations and vendor relationships of low to medium complexity and dollars. Completes work under direction of more experience staff. Responsibilities |
- Manages spend categories, develops Strategic Sourcing strategies and leads contract negotiations for medium to high risk products and/or services.
- Controls all aspects of negotiations for medium to high risk/sized deals.
- Customizes contract risk terms and drafts non-standard contract terms and conditions to proactively address Strategic Sourcing, business and risk concerns.
- Researches and analyzes contract data, business goals and market conditions to proactively identify cost savings opportunities.
- Acts as the primary liaison for current and potential suppliers (medium to high risk/dollar spend).
- Takes a key role in the development of a negotiations strategy. Accountable for category savings targets, and performance measures.
- Works with key stakeholders to determine the long-term needs and applicable supply/service market strategies.
- Identifies and escalates risk-related issues, identifies alternative options/solutions. Resolves systems, recurring supplier and customer issues.
- Partners with business groups to issue/evaluate RFx opportunities and conduct reverse auctions.
- Establishes supplier evaluation/selection criteria and coordinates supplier due diligence activities.
- Develops performance metrics and analytics, monitors supplier performance. Establishes e-business (procure-to-pay), diversity, environmental, and Strategic Sourcing cost reduction strategies to continually improve category effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Uses experience, supply base knowledge, benchmarking data, and market conditions to determine appropriate supply-side and demand-side category levers.
- May train and/or lead less experienced members of the team.
- Maintains current status and engagement information related to active engagements in Strategic Sourcing systems.
- Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
Experience of more than 7-8 years in supply chain management.
Strong analytical skills
Experienced in negotiating Professional service category contracts
Desired Skills
Ability to structure and communicate decisions to senior management.
Well-versed with Professional service IT Contractual terms
Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills.
Excellent networking and negotiation skills.
