Current Need

We are seeking a Software Engineer QA to join our team in Irving, TX.

Position Description

The Software Engineer QA works closely with the business analysts on the upcoming test release testing needed before production deployments. Works closely on any software/hardware test and work with the team to create stories based on the new enhancements. This position is responsible for coordinating with the offshore team on any open automation stories. Also responsible for volume testing related to the WMS processes. They should also be able to develop automation scenarios in TOSCA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for testing end-to-end systems (many interfacing software components).
• Automating tasks in conjunction with developers within the sprint and providing documentation and daily check ins.
• The ability to identify new testing techniques and tools that can help us test more, better, and faster.
• Mentor and guide other team members on Automation software applications.
• Track time on projects accurately and promptly. Report status to stakeholders. Demonstrate flexibility in meeting important customer deliverables.
• Lead the translation of requirements and establish test cases to fit into automation test strategy.
• Ensure comprehensive data validation and quality assurance activities are performed.
• Tests programs for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to established standards.
• Evaluates a diverse set of software requirements and uses vision to decide testing methods and tools to employ.

Minimum Requirements

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills

• 4+ years relevant experience in software and/or program testing
• 4+ years in hands-on automation testing
• 2+ years' experience working with at least one of the following: warehouse management systems, JD Edwards E1, or IBM DB2
• Tricentis Tosca experience to automate test cases and generate reports
• Define automated regression testing process and framework, including UI, backend, software components and integrations

Additional Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding the workings of SQL
• Develop, execute, and interpret load, stress, and other automated performance tests
• Ability to write complex test scripts that are portable, re-usable, and maintainable
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and Health Information Exchange (HIE) concepts
• Tricentis Automation Specialist Levels 1 & 2
• Experience with Atlassian Jira to access/update participant information, generate reports, and track activities
• Foundation Level Certification in Software testing
• SFDC experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
