JOB SUMMARY The Art Director will oversee and set the direction for the CBRE Global Investors design aesthetic and team, communicating marketing objectives and business insights using graphic elements, typography, design fundamentals and expert visual story telling. They must be hyper-focused on creating world-class design solutions for platforms, channels and audiences, with a technical expertise in digital and multi-media design. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Creative Acumen: Serve as creative leader and demonstrate technical expertise, design best practices, conceptual approaches, and workflow optimization Creatively inspire the organization and team, elevating the role of creative within the firm. Responsible for staying current with emerging trends and technologies while ensuring creative product meets creative vision Work closely with CBRE Head of Creative to ensure brand alignment and bring best practices to the Investment Management segment
Visual Storytelling: Comprehend, analyze and interpret the most complex business needs and challenges and leverage broad knowledge and technical expertise and translate into creative outputs Demonstrated ability to visualize data and execute outputs that make complex ideas simple Concept, create and oversee the production of superior creative in both print and digital format. Responsible for ensuring design assignments are launched effectively and have clearly articulated the vision and overall design ask. Project & People Management: Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, with responsibility for consistently delivering on all phases of an assignment from ideation to completion Formally provide guidance and mentorship to junior level staff including delegating tasks and serving as a point of quality control. Assist in hiring of creative talent at local / regional level and act as expert for the creative needs of a team Manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilize resources, identify and address problems and meet deadlines Maintain overall quality and accuracy of assigned projects, workstreams and creative areas. Communication & Presentation Skills: Make effective and persuasive presentations to employees, clients, top management Ensure that deliverables meet internal client standards and are cohesively packaged for delivery. Work closely with marketing management and cross-functional partners to translate insights and give creative direction / inspiration to junior team members Maintain production process for art, looking for efficiencies and increased alignment. Keep the team properly aligned and help guides designers through brainstorming and ideation sessions. Provides valuable employee and team development through technical leadership, meaningful feedback, timely criticism, and ongoing mentorship. Prepares and keeps creative & marketing management updated on project timelines and deliverables. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree with 7+ years related work experience. Prior experience managing people informally / formally. Can easily shift gears and effectively navigate fast-paced environments with multiple priorities Has a masterful knowledge of design principles, trends, tools and technologies Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex documents. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required. Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and HTML/CSS Visually stunning, cutting-edge portfolio showcasing strong eye and strong storytelling and problem-solving abilities. Video production and motion graphics experience a plus. Ability to represent production as a skilled, senior level subject matter expert; experience in presenting an informed point-of-view and technical expertise to a project team.
