Job Summary

The McKesson Human Resources team is looking for a Senior Specialist, Organization Effectiveness and Change Leadership (Org & Change) to support organization design, change management, culture transformation, and employee experience. This role reports to a Director, Org & Change and will work closely with HR and the Canadian Leadership and should be comfortable influencing and working in a matrixed organization. This individual will support Canada-based and enterprise initiatives. The individual must operate as a strong, transparent and collaborative team player. Success in this role will require strong partnership skills, business expertise, functional expertise, meticulous organization skills, execution, drive and comfort with bringing definition to ambiguity.

Position Description

The Senior Specialist, Organization Effectiveness and Change Leadership is primarily responsible for developing and delivering change leadership, communications, culture, employee experience, and organization design activities. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain an integrated project plan for People and Change workstreams, tracking status, risks, issues and action items

• Drive stakeholder management, change planning, change impact analyses and facilitate change agent networks, in partnership with external vendors and internal business partners

• Create and execute communication plans to facilitate the journey of impacted stakeholder groups to the future-state

• Keep current on leading practices, assist in the design of change programs (or overseeing vendors who design), and evaluate program performance

• Identification and assessment of current-state and desired-state organizational culture and capabilities and defining programs to reinforce culture

• Support organizational design efforts following best practices with customized implementation approaches based on business needs

• Define requirements for the processes and tools needed to execute and identifies barriers to successful implementation of change programs/solutions

• Support practices to drive employee adoption of change

• Support budget planning and forecasting activities for the People and Change workstream of the program.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years' work experience

• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in change management or organization effectiveness.

Critical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, change management business or related field or equivalent experience, master's degree preferred

• Change management: exposure to change management practices, including articulating the business case for change, delivering and analyzing surveys, supporting organization design analyses, evaluating change readiness, building and executing stakeholder plans and transition activities

• Program Management: experience in driving program management tasks, including building and tracking project plans, status reports, and mitigating business risk by highlighting critical issues to program leadership early

• Consulting skills: able to tailor his/her communication style to work well with stakeholders at all levels in the organization; effective at influencing, facilitating, and problem solving; ability to focus on people and interactions, not just processes and tools.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with supporting enterprise or function transformation efforts in a program management and change management capacity

• Organizational Development/Design/Effectiveness/Operating Model experience

• Ability to navigate and influence within a complex, matrixed organization

• Leveraging data and technology: Able to effectively identify, utilize and present data in a way that facilitates evidence-based decision-making

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to multi-task, manage changing priorities and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Track record of taking initiative/being proactive, leading complex projects, working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple, changing priorities with excellent attention to detail / follow-through

• Strong interpersonal and consulting skills: ability to assess needs, collaborate and deliver practical solutions that drive results; an excellent listener that seeks to understand multiple viewpoints

• Proven ability to build strong and trusting relationships across multiple teams and departments

• Ability to lead a team of delivery partners, and/or contractors

• French written and spoken would be an asset

• PHR/SPHR certification preferred, unless an advanced degree is attained.

• PMP certification preferred.
