The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a, Sr. DevOps and Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Being part of a cross-functional agile team developing a mix of Azure cloud-based and on-premises applications, primarily in C#, and Python delivering on-time to Stake holders
• Developing software products in conjunction with the business and data science teams
• Providing technical leadership and guidance in every day technical decisions
• Leading technical initiatives to automate and improve processes and software quality
• Engaging with the Product Owner and program stakeholders to develop acceptance criteria for features and user stories to meet business requirements.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and three (3) years of applied Software Development and/or DevOps experience in a private, public, government or military environment OR Highschool Diploma (equivalent) (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and Six (6) years of applied Software Development and/or DevOps experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Three (3) years object-oriented programming language like C# or .Net
• Three (3) years designing, building, deploying & maintaining software code release pipelines
• Three (3) years designing and implementing developing high scale secure solutions in Microsoft Azure or other major cloud environments

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with Web services and web application development (SOAP/REST, JavaScript/Angular)
• Experience with programming & data engineering languages like Python , C# and SQL.
• Experience with big data systems like Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Databricks, or other large scale data processing engines.
• Excellent understanding of AI techniques and algorithms, such as deep learning, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
• Experience developing software that employs statistical computing/data science toolsets including R and Python

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: Maplewood, MN and may consider remote U.S. work location

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
