The Senior Sales Compensation Analyst will be responsible for managing key projects within Sales Compensation/HR and across other work groups that are focused on the achievement of business unit initiatives such as mergers & acquisitions, integrations, sales effectiveness efforts and employee engagement. This position will serve as a key contributor in sales force and compensation analysis, sales territory analysis and design, selling expense trends/forecasts and sales performance trends. In addition, the Analyst uses technical expertise to work on complex problems where analysis requires rigorous evaluation of multiple factors and data sources.
Develop deep understanding of the business and works with leaders to manage the compensation strategy that aligns with the business strategy.
Leads quantitative and qualitative analysis on a broad array of sales and compensation matters, synthesizing results, highlighting business implications and recommending solutions to improve performance.
Conduct rigorous Sales and financial analysis of multiple and complex data sources to create various compensation models. Scenarios may include predictive analytics to identify future trends and risk. Asks well-informed questions to diagnose problems/needs.
Provides quantitative problem-solving, model development, data analysis and manipulation of large datasets and develop robust reporting.
Administers variable pay cycles by solving data issues, tracking those metrics that are not yet automated and working with Sales Leadership to solve concerns and issues.
Works closely with other Enterprise and Business Unit resources, including HR Business Partners, Finance partners and Sales Management to coordinate and monitor projects from initiation through delivery.
Client interaction: Engage, influence, and provide some consultation to various audiences, including HR Business Partners, Sales Management and Executives. Provide advice to partners in a way that expands the understanding of compensation principles and programs and maintains data integrity and compliance with guidelines.
Work with internal McKesson partners (e.g., HRIS) to support project goals. Manage multiple analytical projects at the same time, prioritizing and adjusting to meet deadlines.
Requires 4+ years of relevant work experience.
3+ plus years experience as an analyst in Finance, Sales Operations, Marketing or Human Resources, using data tools and modeling to conduct data analysis to inform decision making and identify areas of opportunity
Compensation experience and exhibited expertise in 1 or 2 Compensation practice areas (e.g., equity, executive, base pay, variable/sales programs), preferably in a large, complex organization or corporate setting.
Ability to understand BU and HR strategy and the alignment with compensation, with the capability to Interpret internal/external requirements and recommends solutions/best practices, and alternatives
Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel formulas and functions and Microsoft Access
Experience using software such as Tableau, Visier, SAP, or Business Objects (preferred)

4 year degree in finance or equivalent experience
