Reporting to the South Pacific Solutions and Services (S&S) Business Unit Manager, the Engineering Manager, Process, is responsible for managing and leading local engineering team which consists of lead engineers, senior project engineers and project engineers who are involved in the execution and delivery of S&S Process projects. This position is critical for driving functional excellence of engineering and team's development.
Location: Melbourne, Brisbane , Sydney
Develop & implement local delivery strategy with alignment to the regional strategy.
Ensure projects are resourced with appropriate skilled resources to deliver within scope, on time and on budget with high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsible for working with the Regional Engineering and Delivery Managers for driving compliance with RA SSB standard processes and practices for Engineering.
Leverage local and regional RA resources and external subcontractors to ensure the team satisfies the project requirements defined in customer contracts.
Engage and manage the relationship with key Process system integrators that collaborate on targeted projects including engagement model, contracts, communications and combined resource planning.
Liaison and regular communications with the Project Management Leader and Regional Engineering Manager to ensure efficient resource scheduling and resource planning across all projects.
Manage team performance to develop team capability and motivate the team.
Work with the Business Manager to develop specialized competency and capabilities among the sub-region team for focused industry applications to keep competitive in the market.
Support best practice sharing and knowledge transfer among team to improve competency of Project Management and Engineering.
Driving lifecycle services growth in collaboration with Customer Service and Maintenance business group for lifecycle service provision at during FAT, commissioning and beyond the completion of projects.
Plan and coordinate GEC resources utilization and responsible for engaging appropriate GEC engineers for projects.
Support Sales and S&S commercial team for opportunities pursuit including technical and risk reviews, contract negotiation, customer engagement as required.
Responsible for the day to day resource personnel administration for Process engineers and their continued development, also responsible for recruitment of Process engineering team members.
Responsible for delivering great customer satisfaction in conjunction with local execution team.
Oversee the implementation of engineering delivery plan for projects execution and resource loading including proper allocation and effectiveness of local team vs GEC vs 3rd party vendors.
Collaborate with AP engineering manager to manage delivery standard and governance to ensure overall efficiency / excellence
Oversee the quality and safety of local team working closely with other stakeholders.
Collaborate with PM team for the improvement of quality, efficiency and compliance in order to fulfill local business requirements.
Ensure compliance to Ethics, Standards of Business Conduct, Safety, other RA policies and the relevant government regulations in the geography.
Any other duties as assigned by immediate Manager.
It is expected that this role is 30% billable to projects in project reviews, commercial and subject matter expertise.

Management / leadership skills
Project management, engineering management and general panel manufacturing process.
Good communication skill with other functions (Sales, Marketing, PM, Manufacturing, etc)
Good understanding of all RA products and Broad industry application knowledge and high level of expertise and knowledge in Systems and Solutions applications.
Good understanding of SSB/CSM processes and standards
Good level of understanding of Lean Six Sigma, EH&S and training skills
Education Qualification & Work Experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Project management or engineering management experience preferably in automation industry with at least 6 years experience in managing a team.
Extensive experience is Process automation and Drive system engineering
Experience in managing subcontractors and direct customer interface.
