We seek to live our vision of a mentally healthy and inclusive workplace. We give four weeks of PTO and close for 11 holidays plus the office for the week before New Year’s--importantly, we encourage people to completely sign off from work when they are on vacation and at the end of their workday. We have always been a nationally distributed team (we were remote before it was cool!), putting our employees first with flexible work practices. We have strong health, mental health, dental, and vision benefits, professional development funds, and a stipend to set up your home office. We connect often and convene in person when possible. We’re a group of good humans and high-achievers with balance--we recognize the whole person at work.
To apply, please submit your resume and answer the listed application questions. We are accepting ongoing applications to this role through August 17, 2021. Applications received after this date may be considered on a case-by-case basis or in a future review cycle.
Our Commitments to You
We will be transparent about our process: Our hiring process is quite thorough. We do this because we know that building a high-performing, inclusive team is essential. Every stage and question in our process is included for a reason--we’ll be transparent about why we are asking, especially when it’s going to take some of your time. And if you aren’t the right fit for this role at any stage, we’ll let you know.
We look at the whole picture: We recognize that neither job descriptions nor people are perfect. If you think you can be successful in this role but don’t meet every listed qualification, we encourage you to apply--we’d love to get to know you and see what you have to offer. We look for “culture adds” not “culture fits.” We want people who push our thinking and who bring a unique perspective to our work.
We seek to build an inclusive team: Mental health is the next frontier of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and an intersectional issue that affects groups differently. At Mind Share Partners, we seek to reflect this in our team. We are an equal opportunity employer deeply committed to building an inclusive team with diverse perspectives and experiences from various backgrounds and cultures. We actively seek out identities, experiences, and perspectives that we don’t have represented on our team and do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability. We strongly encourage people from underrepresented communities within the workplace mental health space to apply.
Skilled Facilitator: Dynamic presenter that engages groups of 10-100+; excellent at explaining complicated or new ideas, thinks well on your feet, comfortable having difficult conversations.
Strategic Consultant: Experienced at advising corporate clients on strategy.
Expert Project Manager: Responsive, organized project manager with at least 2 years of experience leading client services projects.
Relationship Manager: Skilled at developing long-term partnerships, ideally with human resources or diversity and inclusion teams.
People-Oriented: Enjoys working with people, sky-high EQ, gravitas to work with and advise senior leadership teams.
Entrepreneurial: Self-starter, proactive problem-solver, very flexible, comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, contributes creative ideas, and thrives in a growing environment.
Learning-Minded: Willing to test, ask questions, and test again to continually improve services and results across all areas.
Team Player: Willing to test, ask questions, and test again to improve services and results across all areas continually. Takes feedback in stride.
Passionate: Passionate about mental health and wellness, committed to Mind Share Partners’ mission.
Experienced: Minimum experience required is 3+ years of professional experience, including experience leading consulting projects, facilitation, and managing direct reports. Most applicants will have between 5-10 years of experience.
This role is a full-time role based anywhere in the United States; we have always had a nationally distributed team.
All of Mind Share’s current client work is done remotely via video due to the pandemic. Mind Share Partners continues to evaluate the pandemic to ensure the safety and comfort of our team. As the global situation stabilizes, you can expect brief travel to client sites (up to 30% of your time) for client training and advising.
This role will report to Natasha Krol, Head of Client Services & Principal, and will work with all Mind Share Partners’ team members.
About Mind Share Partners
Mind Share Partners is a national nonprofit that is changing the culture of workplace mental health so that both employees and organizations can thrive. Up to 80% of people will have a diagnosable mental health condition at some point during their lifetime—that means mental health affects every meeting, every phone call, and every workplace. We believe that if workplaces commit to reducing stigma, supporting their employees with mental health challenges, and addressing related workplace factors, we can drastically improve individual lives, company cultures, and workplace productivity. What we do
Mental health is integral to the future of work as well as to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Since 2020, it has moved from a nice-to-have to a must-have, but few workplaces know how to execute. Between the lasting effects of the pandemic, racial trauma, the political divide, and more, now is the time to make a sea change in eliminating stigma and creating mentally healthy workplaces. We tripled our impact during 2020 and are poised for significant growth. Launched in 2017, we have proven our program model and are ready to sc...ale to meet this unique moment. We have two program areas:
1. Movement Building: Mind Share Partners is leading the social movement to create mentally healthy workplaces. We normalize mental health at work by engaging in public discussion at events and in thought pieces, influencing coalitions and campaigns, and by coaching senior leaders to be changemakers. We host a free virtual community to support company-sponsored employee resource groups. We run two columns on workplace mental health in Forbes and Thrive Global and have written for Harvard Business Review. Our work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TIME, and more.
2. Training & Advising: We help executives, managers, and colleagues to build safe spaces, facilitate hard conversations, and learn tools and strategies to navigate mental health at work. We take a proactive, preventative, management approach. We've worked with industry leaders in tech, finance, professional services, and retail, including BlackRock, Genentech, Morrison & Foerster, Pinterest, Verizon Media, and others.
